Personally, I don't believe I will continue playing past the free month. The game is in a terrible state:
*poor engine optimization. Players having a poor performance even on very good machines. Granted, this seems to affect some players.
*bugs everywhere
*poorly implemented features
-ninja looters in dungeons who loot chests and can't be kicked from group,
-way too much traveling,
-way too slow leveling,
-way too late access to weapon switching,
-bad idea to allow attributes influence how much damage the attacks that use those attributes. In fact the attributes should be baked in and removed from player control. They are unnecessary and tedious.
-pvp is terrible and whoever gets the 1st shot wins in 90% of cases, as players drop like flies.
-often enough very long loading screens just get exit a building.
*severe lack of fluff
-no chat boxes,
-no transmogrification,
-no easy access to respecs,
-no auctionhouse
-etc

My issue is still going so don't act like u know what your talking about. Over 8 days and they are still *** about. Meant to have a gm but yet another promise from technical support that was not followed up
Talk about lack of patience out of you guys. IMO there is no way the bugs are what will make you quit. You don't like the game in general, ok great I get that, its not for everyone. However I think blaming it on some bugs that will get fixed is just a cover up. Its been 18 days since EA, give them a break. I still say its one of the better releases in recent years server wise, which to me is more important than some fixable bugs.

That's just myopic and untrue. If this game wasn't a bug ridden mess, I'd stick around much longer. You don't have to white knight the game by ignoring all these bugs or downplay them and people bothered by them.
Except that a lot of people are still experiencing issues with quests claimed to be fixed, and lot of the pathing and coding issues are not working as intended. This is live, not beta.lslingsby1984rwb17_ESO wrote: »this is a great post i only wish the game developers to read and actually respond with something meaningful. No one ever leaves a game because of bugs (bugs do get fixed), or bots, or slow grinding, or bad maintenance times. There is only one reason anyone ever quits any game, mmo or spg, and that is: they get bored. If a game is good, engaging and fun, no amount of bugs or maintenance will make people quit.

As I played WoW for 6 years, I disagree. That game is boring as hell and very dated compared to the newer mmos, but still enjoyable regardless. While I'll still try to help the masses by doing my Psijic Order duty, I really can't deal with the bugs that I have begun to deal with in the Vet areas. A lot of this stuff we spent months reporting, and it was ignored. A lot of these issues are amateur issues that shouldn't be occurring. I can handle bots and spammers. That happens for every mmo at launch. I can't handle trying to work around bugs that block progress.

I've been playing MMOs since Everquest in 1999. Yes, all games have bugs. But this game has had more progression stopping bugs, bugged combat, bugs that 100% totally screw you (like losing all your bank upgrades and your helmet, not to mention all the stuff that was in your bank) than any game I've ever played.
The early access was down half the time because of the horrifying bugs like the fact that sometimes when you logged in to the game... you logged into someone else's account. It happened to me, and I was booted from the game once with the terrifying message, "Someone else has logged in to this account". This is not ok. How does something like this even happen? No, don't try to excuse it or justify it, this is a HUGE security risk, and it is 100% not ok. My credit card is tied to that account. Thank god there aren't any in app purchases yet.
As a huge Elder Scrolls fan and an avid MMO player, I was planning to subscribe to this game for a long time, but after playing a couple weeks, I already unsubbed.
I'm tired of dying in combat because my character becomes unresponsive and unable to attack or do anything. I'm tired of enemies killing me while facing the other direction, being 3 feet away and yet still hitting me, or dodge and weapon switching taking 2+ seconds to fire. I'm tired of missing out on exp because of bugged quests. I'm tired of the terrible phasing, not getting credit for killing a boss in a group, chest ninja looters, and 0 dungeon exp. I'm tired of the fact that my whole game freezes up for 2+ seconds every time someone joins or leaves the group that I'm in while in Cyrodiil. I'm tired of the infinite load screens and the memory leaks causing me to eventually crash.
Also, the guild store is unusable in its current state. There are some player mods that fix the broken sorting, but the fact that I have to download a 3rd party program to make it not suck, but not be good either, is a problem.
And before you say, "well I'm not having all these technical issues, maybe your machine is a PoS", here's the requirements for this game:
[ The minimum system requirements for the game on PC are: ]
— Operating System: Windows XP 32-bit
— Processor: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor
— Memory: 2GB System RAM
— Hard Disk Space: 60GB free HDD space
— Video Card: DirectX 9.0 compliant video card with 512MB of RAM (NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800 / ATI Radeon™ 2600 or better)
I have Windows 7 64-bit, Intel i7 3.4Ghz Processor, 6 GB RAM, 500+ GB free HDD space, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 ti. I should be able to run this game on max/ultra with no problems, plus I can run other recent games on ultra without a problem. I'm used to games running very smooth for me. This game runs very poorly.
