Hi, I bought the Imperial Edition for the game and this problem has persisted SINCE BETA. I have reported this issue over TWENTY times and Zenimax has not gotten back to me about this SERIOUS game breaking issue and has not found this worthy of their time to consider fixing. I will keep filing this same issue every single day until I finally get an answer, and if I don't by the next two weeks then I'm cancelling my subscription and returning my Imperial Edition box and expect a full reimbursement. As well as no longer buying any more products from Zenimax Online.
Issue:
When I start up the game I go through the usual updates on the launcher. I click play, and that's when the timer begins to count down. I have literally one minute, count it, SIXTY SECONDS, before the game completely freezes my computer and I am no longer able to use it for any functions. The only possible thing to do at that point is do a hard reset on my computer and resume windows.
I have logged in on nearly a hundred separate occasions and have come to the same problem. There is no error message. There is nothing but a black screen and no response. BEFORE I EVEN LOG IN, if I wait too long the game will crash. I have to skip through every tedious intro logo graphic as fast as humanly possible, type my password in with blinding speed, skip the pointless intro sequence before I get to the character creation screen, and IF I am lucky I'd be able to fill out the proper options quick enough for the character to even be made. By then it will always crash, and when I do the 5 minute start up of my computer all over again, I'll go through the same thing and HOPE to be able to walk two feet in-game before it starts all over again.
I have been invited to every single beta test, have come to this problem every single time I have played, reported it every time it has occurred, and nothing has ever ONCE come by to help. I cannot tell you how angry I am at this because it shows to me a company that is not willing to care enough about it's players that it will come and fix a game that people have paid a fist-full of cash for.
Starting today, you have two weeks to help or I will be demanding my money back.
