"Unknown Error" when changing zones or logging in. ZOS please respond.

    You could also try Google DNS servers which are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

    Flushdns did not help me any, I'm still disconnecting every ten minutes like clockwork.

    Any new info on this? Because the game is unplayable atm, even if I am able to get through the character load screen, I will most likely get disconnected on the next loading screen when trying to change zone.. Really frustrating

    Lucky you. I had win 8.1 on my pc when i installed teso and i have the unknown error problem since headstart, so i don't think win 8.1 is the universal answer.

    I was able to play yesterday a little but whenever I got into a dungeon public ones, BANG! Unknown error, I think it has something to do with the ammount of people connecting to the same server and to the same area.. having 100 players in the same area or so can be stressfulll for the servers.. look at wow and the Anquiraj events!

    Server Crashes.

    upgraded to 8.1 last night played for about an hour straight( longest ive been able to play),went to bed thinking problem solved. Got on this morning and BAM unknown error :( really tired of this.

    I don't think the issue is regarding our end and drivers.

    I believe in bottle necks on their end with the amount of players logging in at the same time.

    This is the reply that I had received yesterday.

    I have to completely agree with you therethen that is completely untrue, yesterday I got DC and got then unknown error like 10 times and I bet a ton that the reason of this error is the amount of players online I was playing with no lag nor disconections from 7pm to 9pm after that I started seeing a ton of players online and then the lag and all started.

    Hello everyone,
    i just wanted to ask if the problem with the unknown error has been resolved for some of you?
    For me the game is near to unplayable without WTFast, so I have 19 days of my trial left and i am scared that after these days I will be back to square one.

    I have tried a lot of different suggestions presented in the german and english forum but without success.

    updated every driver on my mainboard and graphic.
    reinstalled Win 8
    installed ESO 2x
    checked my cable and socket
    tried the analyse tool with deactivated firewall
    .
    . .. etc
    everytime the 2.Pingtest shows 100% packetloss

    then I installed the Mac-Client on my old Macbook
    every Pingtest ok, tried it in the same room with the same cabel and socket.
    Testing with W-Lan was also ok.
    I was astonished.
    tried to login with every char i had, 2 times
    it never stuck in "requesting character load"

    ?????????

    So if you have new information or found the solution pls post it.

    but in my regedit i didn't find "MaxUserPort"

    and my IT skills are not very deep so i don't want too mess up my win8 because i experimented in the regedit.

    I've had this issue going back to beta. I can't find a fix and feel like I've tried everything. I'm not getting any response from emailing tech support. Here is another thread that had quite a few comments. I don't use addons, DNS flush didn't help either. I keep trying to play, but it's rough when I get kicked from the game constantly. My issue isn't just when I log in or change zones, it's random.

    You have to create it.

    Use dword and use decimal.

    Contact your ISP. Maybe they can help to investigate the problem.

    or i messed up the creation in the regedit ?

    Went to System\....\Parameters , then created a REG_DWORD, named it MaxUserPort, then added in the "value" field 65534
    There were no other fields to fill in so i restarted the pc and started the gameanalysetool. Outcome see above

    @mikko.alandereb17_ESO I may do this, but here's the thing... I have no issues playing any other games or issues with anything else I do. I'm thinking this is not my ISP's issue. However, I don't have a lot of IT related knowledge, so I could be wrong. ;)

    I attempted to play for about 3 hours last night and crashed at least 12+ times. Many times when I crash I also get rolled back a bit, which is extremely frustrating. It happened to me last night on a quest that was a pain to complete anyway and I had to re-do it! I don't know why I keep logging in. I really like the game when I can actually stay in for 30-40 min. :s So far, I haven't seen any solutions that work for me and I've tried a ton of stuff.
