Annoying new text chat box behavior in update 44.

Seems the chat box has a new feature that is really annoying. If you start to type any message in the chat box, then click away, tab out, or open up another part of the user interface everything typed thus far is deleted.

Tried it with no addons, same thing.

This is really annoying since I'm often looking up things to answer questions from other players, or even tabbing out to check spelling sometimes since my spelling is terrible.

Can this be changed back to how it used to be?

I don't know if this has already been addressed somewhere, but this is an insanely annoying problem. If I click out to look at something before I hit enter, it just nukes everything in the text box and I have to start over. I've started typing in a notepad file to avoid this but it shouldn't need to be this way.

Just encountered this today, super frustrating losing whole sentences just because a dungeon finder dialog interrupted me.
