I just completed a tribute match against an expert NPC in Rimmen and did not get the endeavor completion.

It needs to be against a player, through the activity finder.

If it's the same as previous ToT daily endeavors you need to play a real person via the matchmaking system.

If you look at the expanded endeavor tooltip, it has to be against a player via the activity finder to count for the endeavor.

Yeah, this endeavour still sucks as badly as it did previously. ToT against another player? No way!

It is very deceptive as it simply says to complete 1 tribute match. It does not even say to win a match, so technically all you should be required to do is to play vs NPC (any difficulty) and immediately quit the ToT game (your opponent wins). You have completed a game. But no, if you hover your mouse cursor over the endeavour it will say to play using activity finder - which means you have to play vs other player, so the endeavour requirement should be changed from:

Complete 1 Tribute Match
to:
Complete 1 PvP Tribute Match
