Unable to bite as a Werewolf or a Vampire, or get bitten

Today I experienced a strange bug. There are a few posts about it around the Internet, but they are outdated and/or don't have correct solutions.
Let me tell you my story with every detail first. I have two setups in the armory station. One has the vampire curse, and the other one has the werewolf. This morning, I accidentally overwrote the vampire one onto the werewolf one. So I got cured by a priest and then went to the Rift Werewolf shrine. A person came by and turned into a werewolf, but couldn't bite me. When I asked why it didn't work, they just ignored me and walked away.
Then I found another werewolf, they also couldn't bite me but were dedicated to helping me. Then we tried what I found on the Internet: We went to different shrines, I died and revived with a soul gem and wayshrine, we walked away from the shrine and came back, they killed and devoured a mob and tried to bite me again. None of that worked. While we were trying those, I saw people on the zone chat having the same problem with vampire bites.
After a moment I logged out, and when I logged on I realized it was after sunset in the game. So I tried to get the curse the conventional way, by finding a feral werewolf. I couldn't find any, but I found bloodfiends and let them curse me. (If I were able to find a feral WW, they would probably be able to curse me, too.) Then I got cured again, found a werewolf player, and boom! They were able to bite me!
There was another player waiting for a werewolf bite. Like I told you earlier, I already had the werewolf skill line before that, so I told them I have level 10 werewolf and will bite them after the quest. I finished the quest, got my werewolf skill line, and tried to bite them, but the button to bite didn't pop up. We tried the possible solutions in the third paragraph which didn't work once again.
Then they realized they had the curse on the ''C'' menu, but didn't have the quest mark on the shrine. They went to get cured by a priest and came back. After that, I was able to bite them finally.
TL;DR: If you're having this issue get the curse from mobs, or get the other curse from mobs and get cured, or get the other bite (which might not work, because people may be unable to bite you,) and get cured, or just check if you can get cured without doing anything else. You can also try the methods in the third paragraph, but they didn't work for us.
