Daedric, Reach, primal, ancient elf motif's

Well that's good and bad I guess, I wish I would run into Daedric and Ancient Elf before... well basically before I finished the zones but good to know anyway. It'd be nice if they were all available in the first vet zone.

Dark Elf is common, it is not the rare Daedric. I have seen people get excited and start spamming zone with some crazy price for Dark Elf.

I can tell you that ancient elf does not drop in veteran zones ONLY. I just looted it, dont know where but might be either in alik'r or Cyrodill.

edit: not sure if i got scammed but it seems to be high elf, altmer ( 100% positive that was not on the description in chat)

That would suggest you lied, and bought it not looted it. Last four only drop in veteran areas but people can sell them in any zone they please. That said Cyrodill is for all intents a veteran zone since you can find any resources there.

In cyrodiil I have seen only 1 container from which motif could potentially drop. Anyone knows location with nore trunk and wardrobes? Also, can vet motifs drop there? I have no idea personally.

They are being sold all the time in Vet 1 + zones. Between 20-50k normally. Deadric seems most popular going for around 50k mostly.

However, note though: You MUST have a crafting skill at rank 6 or higher to be able to learn the motif. And my rank 6 I mean in the grade of what material you are allowed to use (BS: Metalworking at 6) (Clothing: Tailoring at 6) etc etc.

can anyone that has daedric motif with clothier confirm (since they crafted it) that the breeches are actually a skirt alone?

This should help the ones tested all have skirts for cloth(light) and pants for leather (medium).

I think you need to spend a lot more time in cyrodiil if you only saw one container... just look around the safe area then through the dozens of buildings in the zone.

usually the skirt for light armor come from CHEST not LEGS
in the crafting tab you can se a small "like-be preview" of the item you are going to craft and the light LEGS look like a skirt, when usually are pant-like

so, again, can anyone confirm that the daedric light legs look like skirt? :-)

With a little more looking, http://eso-fashion.com/elric-stormbringer-na/ same site custom set with daedric chest and metal legs. You can't see the legs so I have no idea what the legs look like but the lower robe is part of the chest. So they probably look like tights but something to consider is daedric motif is rare drop that goes for 35-50k even in the higher level zones. It only drops in VR-5 plus areas so you are better off asking on site like exiles or one of the other sites that show off gear then in the general forums that may not even be seen by the few people that have the style at this point.

Just for the sake of terminology, plates that hang over the hip region that are attached to cuirass are called 'tassets'. They are not a 'skirt'

If they are attached to the cuirass aren't they supposed to be faulds, and the tassets are attached to the belt? I'm not poking fun at you but pointing out that way too many different people use the same terms differently, and enough times to confuse everyone as to what is the right terminology.

In his defense the thing he is referring to is a skirt since it cloth and looks like a the lower half a dress .

Tassets were attached to faulds or directly off the breastplate, but it depends on the armor and the time era. These are medieval 13-15th century terms, so it is kind of a small view of armor. Generally, if its an armor piece that hangs over the hips, I call them tassets. If its horizontal bands that wrap around the hips, I call them faulds. but, that's just me.

If it's skirt-like armor pieces hanging all the way around like in Imperial armor, that was called a cingulum in roman times.
