Why aren't treasure maps / other imperial edition perks bound to an account?

In my experience with the beta, I decided that come launch I wanted to create characters for all four classes under one single faction. I went with this, however the character I loaded the items on is in the incorrect faction, not adding to the fact that I can't view things like treasure maps on anything other than the first character I used?

In my personal opinion, things like that don't make sense, they should just be non-tradable, but bankable (or something along those lines). Why limit items that I've purchased through the early editions to only a single character? At the very least, leaving some kind of larger notice in-game that these items will only be usable on the character you claim the on would be nice, because now I have a character I want to delete with the items that I can't move.

Yeah, this bothered me too. Please make the maps account bound, I have several characters and want characters other than the first who checked his mail to have access to them.

The items are bankable - unfortunately, you have to get that first character through the prison tutorial and into the city to get to the bank. At that point, you can deposit the items and then (as long as you have one other character created), delete that first character.

Some of the items are bind on pickup and thus not bankable.

Yeah, I deleted my first character without thinking and probably lost all that.

I recently opened up a ticket, talked to support. and they said theyd email me back. Waiting on that. I know allot of people did the same thing as well.

ya i deleted my character that had all my bonuses on it. i was under the impression it was like WoW where all your characters revived it in the mail. soon found out i was wrong

Yeah... should be given to all characters you create... not just the first one who redeems them. Kinda dumb.

For me personally, it's not so much that I deleted them, but I have no way of retaining them through other characters (I'm wanting to delete my first character). So in short that's really my dilemma.
