Is rapid strikes 5th hit working? Possible bug?

I have noticed every time my char hits the last hit(5th) the enemy takes no damage.
I have added numbers to enemies hp and when rapid strikes is used the ability removes
Hp 4 times not 5 , and those 4 times do the same dmg.
It legit feels like the last hit doesn't even connect
