Can't log in - game stuck on loading screen until it times out

After the update today I can't get into the game, it just sticks on the loading screen until it times out "through lack of activity". This is before I even get to the screen where you log into a character. I've tried several times now and no joy

Oh never mind, tried a few more times and finally logged in
