constantly dropped from the server due to spamming

I don't understand why this is happening but I've been constantly dropped from the server due to spamming.

The weird thing is that I don't even play much now, because all my friends already quilted the game, and I've been doing just some quests, I didn't even sent one single message during all day. but looks like that doesn't prevent Zos to remove me from the game.

Is there any way to stop this problem? It's happening when I try to kill a world boss and there's more people there.

I've been avoiding other players and groups, but it's harder during an event. Is there any addon or something to block all messages?

Are you using any addons - particularly older ones?

Just a guess but getting rid of procs didn't help performance. Just made it worse. We must lie in our own bed.

yes, a few. but all updated.

In the cases I've been kicked for this randomly it's never had anything to do with messaging - it's just yet another bug with a confusing unrelated message.

I'm getting kicked from game for spamming somewhat regularly now days. Almost every time it happens after blocking a dizzy swing spammer multiple times. Makes me wonder if the player I'm blocking gets kicked too.

Here's what I believe is going on. The "message rate limit" doesn't refer to interaction with the chat HUD, but rather the number and rate of inputs (messages) coming in to the server. Afaik this is a latency issue. Your inputs are delayed and coming in to the server in a quick burst. The system melts down and kicks you.

Now, whenever I have received this error, I've witnessed other symptoms. Rubber banding, delays in skills firing, inability to bar swap, delay in interactables (crafting nodes for ex.) and UI. Basically, a whole host of things that tell me my ping may be very high or my signal may not be very strong.

If this error is occurring very frequently I'd look to troubleshooting issues with your ISP, home network and platform first.

Turn off any guild trader addons. It’s normally one of those.

I suspect its often your connection. My Wifi got a bit flaky and I ran into that message. Fixing that has cured it for me.

Hehe that happens on ps4 whenever you are the 11th or 12th person joining group. You dont have to say a damn thing in the chat. It is just kick. But these guys here wont believe this, so the issue does not exist and will not be fixed. I have given up. Pvp guilds run only 10 people groups when there is queue to campaing. Because naturally you get cyro kick too. Gg

Yup yup! It's an understandable misconception that it refers to the chat, if you don't know what "message" refers to in this context. Now, I do wonder how rapidly you have to be spamming chat to get it to come up. lol I've never seen that!

Bad connection or addons. Try disabling some trader addons or troubleshooting your internet and reboot the game.

I didn't get that error again after removing Master Merchant 3.0

I need more time to confirm but the spam might have been caused by MM settings.

I quit using it a long time ago but it was always the culprit for me. I would have thought it would be fix by now.

Not to surprised to see 1 of the trade addons being the likely cause, not seen it myself, maybe bacause I swapped Master Merchant out for Arkadius' Trade Tools years ago due to MM casuing other 'stutters'!

Error 318 can occur when there are issues with connectivity, such as lag or latency, sending too many messages in game in quick succession or due to an add-on. If you've not done so, try disabling your add-ons and see if that stops Error 318 from happening.

MM no longer causes latency and is not responsible for your withdrawal from the game. Find out about the proper use of addons before condemning them.
its use is manual and even in cyrodiil it should no longer be deactivated.
but when we see that only 95k players have downloaded the libguildroster we can understand that for some nothing works.
the shishu and bandit series, they are responsible for a lot of compatibility problem.
