Maintenance for the week of December 2:
• PC/Mac: NA and EU megaservers for patch maintenance – December 2, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)
• Xbox: NA and EU megaservers for patch maintenance – December 4, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EST (17:00 UTC)
• PlayStation®: NA and EU megaservers for patch maintenance – December 4, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EST (17:00 UTC)

My game is now locked at 32 frames per second even on lowest possible settings. [Workaround!]

It never goes up or down from that. I used to run on high settings and now every setting is 32 fps. This happened to me in june as well. And I found other people who had issues. Is this known?

UPDATE: 40.2.1 AMD drivers from april stop it from happening. 40.2.2 will also work!
Any drivers past that and the frames per second suffer horribly!

No addons, no v-sync, no frame rate limiter. I have no clue why.

Go to your documents> elder scrolls online> Live
find the usersettings.txt and see If your frames are limited from there.

    Find this line "SET MinFrameTime.2"

    30 FPS SET MinFrameTime.2 "0.03450000"

    60 FPS SET MinFrameTime.2 "0.01680000"

    96 FPS SET MinFrameTime.2 "0.01042000"

    120 FPS SET MinFrameTime.2 "0.00845000"

    144 FPS SET MinFrameTime.2 "0.00705000"

If this is not the case, check if your frames are limited from your GPU settings panel.

If any of the above is not the case, you might wanna post your specs here.

    Nobody has found a solution.

For now running movies in the background while playing will sometimes force the gpu to go above 32/64 caps.

I'm going to just live with it until it goes away again. :(

Check if you have VSYNC enabled. I seem to remember that having that enabled would lock frames at 32...

    I only have SET MinFrameTime. 2 "0.01000000"

Nothing about FPS in the user settings

Not sure if this is helpful, but the april drivers fixed it. Something weird is going on with games latest updates and the drivers past april!
