Morning when eating breakfast: Log in and out of 15 characters. I try to get blacksmithing, clothing, enchanting and woodworking to atleast 32 on all characters. Put 3 points in hirelings and recieve mails. They also stand outside the stable to lvl up horse speed/stamina/capacity.

one char i do blacksmithing writ on.
one char delivers alchemy and enchanting - i make alot of the items needed when they run out.
One char i do all 7 writs on.

Sell the ornates i get. Deposit glyphs and intricate items i get to the bank for characters below 32 in those skills.

Deposit surveys to bank and do them once i have 3+ of the same.

    Takes about 30 minutes.

Then i play when i get home. Depends what my group wants to do.

Does this mean that you end up with 2 shorter sessions on the game instead of one long one (like my long 4-5 hour evening session)?

I get up at 5:15 -5:30 am and am out the door before 6 to go to work but would definitely not get up earlier just to log onto ESO. Mind you, if I didn't start work until 10 am or noon, I would probably go to bed later, start sleeping in and still not logging on before going to work.

I used to play in the mornings. Get up at 6:30, steal some stuff, leave for work at 7:30. Now I only play in the evenings for a couple hours. But stealing and farming mats was always more enjoyable in the morning when you can get larger areas of the game to yourself.

I don’t have a set routine but usually start with some low-key income-related activity like writs, farming or, erm, browsing NPC/container inventory, and selling things. Occasionally I’ll do some questing or work on my build/skills. Then dailies or pledges if I feel like it.

PvP is NOT for me. Pumped up pride over killing other players is not my thing. Mine is exploring, crafting and accumulating wealth, I now have 23 million gold, 26 houses, all of the companions, Grand Master Crafter, some very unique mounts and pets I don't see anyone else has.

    1. Mounts, I'm max'ed out on all my characters which is one, I have no alts which is a waste of time. Plus I can run faster than those mounted anyway and I hate dismounting and mounting again and again because I gather all nodes I see. If you're a crafter you learn to do that. This first thing I do is nothing, just gloat at the fact that I don't need mounts even though they're max'ed out anyway. Getting to a place first a second ahead of everyone else is for losers.
    2. Daily reward, mail, Dragonguard Chest, Dark Brotherhood toxins and check endeavors but don't do them, just note what you can do easily as you're accomplishing other goals. Such as crafting for example, a lot of endeavors involve crafting and you can do those while you're doing your daily crafts. As in everything in the game, synergize your goals, accomplish more than one goal by doing one task as often as you can. The weekly endeavor I do immediately on Monday before anything else.
    3. I do the craft dailies after I've done my questing (4.) because I don't like running around with the crafted items. More often than not I accidently sell them and have to redo them. But I do grab the writs from the boards. I actually craft the dailies just before I turn in quests because before I turn in quests I quaff an Aetherial Ambrosia which doubles the XP yield. You don't get much XP from the daily crafts but why not get double?
    4. Daily quests I do depends on a lot of things. If you're in an event period, these daily quests are already spelled out for you. Otherwise I have several high yielding dailies to choose from. Again I use synergy, I do the daily quests that are high XP yielding and also the bosses drop things I need. I won't give examples, you already know them if you're over 2000CP; if not half the fun is finding them.
    5. After turning in the daily writs and quests under the influence of Aetherial Ambrosia (AA), I usually have some time left on my XP gain from the AA. I use this time left wiping out herds at my favorite killing grounds with training gear on. The gear doesn't have to be Training equipment but any equipment you have transmuted with the training trait on all pieces). Yes I switch equipment just for this purpose.
    6. Random Dungeon and Undaunted dungeon runs, these take time waiting in queues and running them. During the waiting period I don't stand around like I see others doing (what a waste of time! This is a game, and gaming to me is not standing around). So I go out and synergize, things I could be doing while waiting for the ready-check. You know what they are per your character but don't stand around. If you're missing the ready check while doing things then change the volume on event sounds, you'll never miss one again. When the ready-check comes wait until you get into the dungeon, first thing is to quaff an AA. You should have checked your equipment status long before, don't do it when you first enter the dungeon, you'll be left behind and kicked.
    7. Finish up any endeavors you couldn't synergize.
    8. After my daily routine above I'm out completing each Tamriel province. This includes the Points Of Interest in every province. If you're not completing the provinces, you're missing out on a LOT of stuff.
    9. Bye

My routine changes as I focus on different tasks. Right now, I'm focused on dungeons. So...

I log in, collect my hireling mail, check the endeavors. Pick up one daily undaunted pledge, get in queue for it. Work on the endeavors and do daily crafting writs while I wait. Usually the queue has popped sometime while doing that, so I do the pledge and turn it in. After that, I finish up daily crafting writs, if necessary. I might do surveys and master writs to keep on top of them. And I might have an endeavor to finish up if there's one I couldn't do while queued (like go into the IA). Log off. This usually takes around an hour, give or take.

Some days I log in again later. Some days I don't. If I do log in again, I usually chase an antiquities lead, hunt lore books, or work on progressing an achievement (or outright get one).

Once I've done all I want to do with dungeons, which will be a while yet, that part of my routine will change to something else, but the endeavors, daily crafting writs, surveys, and master writs will stay the same.

Maybe golden pursuits will factor in when they're released. I'll see.

Given the amount of additions and alterations to the game, I agree that a thread detailing what routine players followed six years ago is totally irrelevant today.

There's a strong argument in my view for threads beyond a certain age being auto-locked. We can argue over whether that age should be 1 year, 2 years, or longer, and whether the period should be counted from the original post or the last comment, but I doubt many would contest the view that a thread launched in 2018 and last commented on in 2019 should be eligible for further comments in 2024!

It's an evergreen topic, though, meaning players still have a daily ESO routine they can talk about. It's not like topics where the information or whatever is being asked is truly out of date.

All the previous answers are out of date, so it would be better to start a new thread if people want to give a current response on it.

After work, I first log onto my crafter character to do my writs and (explicit language rhyming with hits) (i.e., the daily endeavors). Once I complete these, I typically engage in the obligatory inventory cleanup, then I'll check my guilds for activities that I want to do. If I don't feel like doing PVP, dungeons, or trials, I'll farm item sets, farm materials, or do storyline quests.

Most often though, I end up in Cyrodil.

Log in. Kill some dragons. Because this is still the absolute best thing eso ever introduced to the game. It's especially cool when I get to solo one for a while because single handedly killing a dragon isjust the coolest thing ever.

Try to complete one bg. Quickly open up the forums to rant about my displeasure with bgs. Restrain myself from throwing my computer across the room. Try another bg. Post again. Try one last time, then go do something else with my life. At least this is my schedule since update 44.

Before that it was about 10 bgs a night, a round of crafting and stable upgrades on my toons and one or two random normal dungeons just for the extra xp.

On weekends I go to see the golden vendor, then ask myself where the cool new stuff that was supposed to me here since maybe u40 is. Then go to IC for some tel var farming.

Once in a blue moon, since west weald, my son and I will start in Glenumbra and ride all the way to Eastmarch because, other than dragons, there is literally nothing cooler than the map being traverse-able like it is now.

What are your goals in ESO? How can someone help if we do not know what you are wanting to accomplish.

Sorry, I’ll try to explain a little better. I don’t have a ton of time to play each day, so I’m trying to figure out how to be efficient in the little time that I have. (2-3 hours at most) A few of my goals are, progress my CP to max, gain character strength in general, run difficult dungeons and trials, gear my character better, get a decent amount of gold, and mostly just have fun!

I think 2-3 hours is a lot of time actually, and you can do many things to reach these goals you have in mind. For example, you can do a random normal dungeon for XP, you can do the pledges in vet mode for even more XP, gear, and learning the mechanics, since you're interested in group content. While doing pledges etc. in your preferred roles, you can also practice your skills and rotation and improve, and they are a decent source of gold because you can vendor extra stuff and even get motifs from some dungeons you can sell in the traders. So I'd say if you have a couple of hours just jump in and do some vet dungeons, especially those that might have useful gear you can use later on.

    Hrmmm..

    1) Grabbing hireling mails, restock guild store, mount upgrades, maybe a craft writ or three, depending on my mood.
    2) Content: Delve dailies, WW incursion, skyshard collecting, quests, etc. May or may not do all of these and go to #3.
    3) RP, be it casual or guild focused. If there's still time, back to #2 if in the mood to do that.
    4) Log out. Sometimes precedes with a few daily craft writs.
    5) Repeat the following day or later in the day if I play another game in between (in the current case, the Silent Hill 2 remake or Audiosurf 2).

    My early morning routine:
    1. Daily writs (all except provisioning and enchanting).
    2. Material list at trader.
3.Wandering in explorable, enjoying the landscape while farming resources, plus chests and troves.

Quite often, that's my only go (I don't relog later during the day). If I play again later during the day, I usually keep exploring while farming resources. Once in a blue moon, I do a delve/dungeon, or join in a boss fight.

At earlier times, I was enjoying treasure hunts, but I have none anymore. I keep trying to get all books and stuff this type, to maintain a sort of "treasure hunt" activity, but that's not really the same.
