Pretty much what titles says...
Would be great to finally see Co-Ownership of houses in 2018. Especially for those married in-game or even IRL. It's just a really nice feeling being able to FULLY share a property in a fantasy game imho.
I've seen a lot of people talk about this in-game lately for some reason.
The real world, provides examples of why this will never come to Tamriel.
So two players buy a home together and love it and invest all this time and money in it, then innthe real world those two players have a falling out and both want the house and then ZOS should....?

Ouch! I can't judge your sense of humour on the scale: "s/he slipped on a banana peel, hilarious" to about anything by Monty Python.. but kindergartener's ? The joke, regardless whether you found it funny or not, was certainly not that low level. I'd say you just didn't catch it and took it literally. o_0
As for the OP suggestion.
I think it's just too confusing? I like the idea of giving various permissions to "tenants". I'd welcome the idea of being able to give the full permission to decorate house, option 1: a decorator can place new items ( so s/he can then retrieve only the items they placed) and move around all things within the abode, 2) a decorator can place new items, retrieve/remove all items, as well as change locations of the already placed items within the abode. And that's about it. The owner of the house should be one though. Period. Like with guilds. The guild master is one.. but there're officers with lots of permissions to run a guild.
And I agree, there should be an option to give a guild house status to a house if a house intend to be a guild hall and then link to it post on the guild store page (so I don't have to look for a guild master and travel to their primary residence, it's ridiculous)
