Should there be a way for people to visit your other homes in your collection?

So some of us have many homes that we have poured countless hours into designing and decorating. Some for certain uses and others for other uses. I would propose a transit shrine you buy from a basic housing vendor that allows you to travel between the other homes linked to eachother. Thus allowing players to enter your primary and then easily select to travel to your other homes. All it would have to do is open a special small map that shows the other homes you own and it would travel to those homes.

When you right click on a players name instead of seeing travel to primary residence there should see homes. Right click on homes and you should see a list of available homes to travel to.

When you get there you should be able to sign a guestbook and leave a comment.

I completely agree. This Primary House system is so limiting. I don't have that many homes that are decorated, but I'm starting to expand and I'd like everyone to enjoy what I'm working on, not just which is my favorite.

Yes, this is a MUCH needed feature.

The non-RP/non-social guild crowd won't "get" it but a lot of people super into housing want to be able to decorate a variety of homes to use for events. The addon is a good workaround for now, but it's a lot clunkier than it would be if it was simply integrated in the game.

Please add ZOS! As it stands there's not much point in me buying additional homes if only my primary can be accessed without an addon.

I am definitely one of those people that are super into housing. I have bought every single notable home and have fully decorated them I have built some of the most amazing arenas and even secret areas that most people don’t even notice in the home and that would be wonderful for people to be able to visit at well without me having to constantly travel between them

Also, said addon is kinda kludgy and unintuitive. I mean, that's not the fault of the mod author. They've done the best they can with the available systems.

I REALLY hope expanded visitor permissions beyond primary residence only are part of the QoL update upcoming. I don't really care how they do it but we need the following things:

    1. Public Setting. This would allow you to set a residence to allow anyone who knows your @name to visit that house whether or not they are on your friends list or in one of your guilds.
    2. Specific visitor list. This setting would allow you to ONLY allow those you place on the list to have access to your house. Even if someone not on the list were grouped with them, they would be denied access.
    3. Get rid of the "primary residence" and allow us to set whatever permissions we want for each individual house we own.

    - travel to other houses
    - guestbook to be signed by visitors
    - storage
    - alchemy plants growing
    - put humanoids for vampire to feed
    - free for all pvp option :D

There is tons that can be added to the housing system. We can’t even add weapons or armor mannequins yet. I would love to have weapons on my walls and my favorite styles sitting in my room as if I’m waiting to put them on.

Yes, you can change your primary residence any time you want - but if I want to visit the range of houses a guildmate has it involves that guildmate both a) Being online when I am to visit; and b) Not otherwise occupied so they can change their primary residence to suit my schedule.

It's a convenience thing and for those in big RP guilds where they have multiple decorated houses, it allows people to have easy flow between any and all that have the permissions set.

Yeah atm I have my enchanting and alchemy stations in a different house to my attuned crafting stations. The Snugpod is right there in grahtwood so I use it to do all the enchanting and alchemy master writs and hope outside to put them in. It was my first house and I put a lot of work into decorating it. But I needed to upsize so I now have a bigger house with my target skeleton and attuned crafting stations that is the house I have as my main so people in my guild can access it.. but my Snugpod is so amazingly decorated that I wish I could show people more often.

    Agreed.

There is a different aspect to this than players simply wanting to show off their decorating skills. Those of us with more than one account would like to be able to have characters on one account be able to access any house on another account rather than being restricted for no good reason to a primary residence.

Oh exactly this! I use a character on my alt account as a "bard" and dual box when I have company over and it's such an ordeal to get that character there in the first place! When all I really want to do is LEAVE them there so that when I log in they are just right where I want them.

The problem I have is I have two guilds that have contests decorating houses and since they are themed if I want to enter both that means decorating two houses. I need both houses available at the same time so people can visit and judge them.

Others have a problem because their main home is where the guild goes for the attuned stations practice dummies and other things. The only time they can show case their other homes is when they are online and in those homes so we can port to them.

ZoS promotes and advocates owning multiple homes but really fall short in giving any real incentive to do so.

THey tempt us with all these different houses and then make it hard for us to share them with our friends. Brilliant.

You can. Place all the furnishings you want in the house in a pile and give permission to someone to move them. It’s in the home settings tab. They can move items you have already placers

Several things need to be done for housing in a QoL patch to make housing more desirable.

Listed below are the most needed features to be added for Housing from people I have spoken with and noticed myself from personal experience

•Increased item limits by at least 100 or 200 slots. They have been continuously adding new items for housing but we can't put them in because our caps have never been adjusted? Lol wut

•Add in NPC buyable or furnishable Guards/NPC's that we can place. Perhaps even allow them to be fed on by Vamps and Werewolves.

•Allow at least a primary and Secondary home viewing option to visit houses for
players and guilds. I don't know why this wasn't already implented with Launch of Housing to be honest. Poor QA team?

•Allow our banker and Merchant Assistants to have full merchant and banker capabilites of NPC merchants and bankers. This allows guilds who "use" a guild hall have more freedom with the hall as the merchants can repair gear, and the banker would allow the players to move items around in the banker for guilds as well.

OR if this cannot be done correctly. Allow us to purchase an assistant, or additional housing feature that will allow these functions because this is one the sore points of trying to have a true "Guild Hall"

I'll add more as I think of them

Yes... I would also like a way to charge people for usage... or you know set a price or something. Also many a way for alliances to visit each other's house. Also would like for a way for people to click on a button and visit guild house... since lets be honest plenty of people are using them as guild houses.

While we wait for ZOS to never implement this suggestion, I implore you to please download and use the add-on "Port to Friend's House".

Port to Friend's House add-on lets you bind a key in game to open the PTF window. When you open that window, you can enter an @playername then use the pull-down menu that lists all the houses in the game. The PORT button then ports you to the house you selected so long as the player owns that house and has allowed visitors to enter. You can add players houses to a favorites as well.

This add-on is available via Minion. Minion is a small add-on manager program that manages add-ons for several games. You download Minion, install it, and tell minion where your ESO folders are. You can then search, browse, install, remove and update add-ons for ESO.
