Well the way I see it, whenever I modded a character in Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind; if a certain mod seemed to change something in the appearance I would compare the scripts on a before save of my character to the after save of my character and see what coding/script is added to my character to see if that was the problem. When I found it, I erased that extra code and my characters would go on looking like they use to. Now I know it is vastly simpler to do that on a single player game vs a multiplayer game, but still.... very frustrating.

Just a heads up Crimson, due to the crown sale I bought a race change as a last ditch effort to try to get rid of that vamp skin/face bug. Didn't work. When I switched to an Altmer in the race select she still looked awful. I can't believe it's already been over a month already with this nonsense. Again it wouldn't even be so bad if the disguises could be dyed like the costumes. Really fed up with having to hide my templars actual nice looking crafted sets under a friggin Vulkhel Guard marine oufit (a lot of the other ones are uglier than that one).

It also frustrates me that now characters can be tweaked and perfected via appearance change tokens. I would do this in a heartbeat if she didn't look like how she does now. The stupid vampire face doesn't let you see any features properly at stage 4. Probably going to send in another ticket next week.

It's not 'drink potion, become vampire'. It's 'drink potion and your character bugs out if it has any ww already on it'. The only thing it described on that stupid drink is an effect if you ALREADY ARE A VAMPIRE. Nothing else. And it shouldn't affect anything else either. It's not gaining the skill line and not being able to cure yourself, that would be a different situation entirely. The only attributes from the vampire line is the progressively ugly stages and the debuffs (the ugly not being able to change because again the skill line isn't unlocked in order to feed).

And from what I've seen, players who were told to get bites to get infected in an attempt to wipe the bug that way didn't work either. Only other thing I'd try is getting my character bit to see if I can at least bring her look to stage one for the time being, even though that still leaves the problem unsolved.

@ZOS_GinaBruno What is going on with this? Why is this still an issue? It's a serious appearance glitch and has been going on since Oct for players. Why was is so easy after weeks of my character being debuffed that whatever CS person swooped in and cleared it, but couldn't also fix the look it caused?

I put in another ticket and all that was said is "look for it in future patch updates".............wtf? That is vague as all hell. I mean, come on, how much trouble can a 'skin code' be to remove???? Admittedly, I don't work at ZOS, I haven't seen their codes and software and hardware that they use to make this game, but seriously? I am sorry, but I absolutely abhor when I ask for some info on the issue to try and understand why it is taking so long to fix and I either don't get an answer at all or I get some vague b.s. line that doesn't really give me any information at all........and the frustration continues to mount.

Still bugged and no one with the decency to tell those of us afflicted whether or not the next patch and roughly when the next patch will be available to fix this vampire skin stuck issue. I just like to know its being worked on and that Zos hasn't forgotten.

As if the fact simple things like this make it past internal testing isn't bad enough, they can't seem to offer proper support for it either. Or maybe the internal testers went the way of the extinct game-masters, which they've still not even bothered taking out the now-defunct loading screen tip for.

Yep my main still looks awful. I dunno what happened with 'maintenance' this time around, but between our toons still being bugged, the roll backs, lag, uber loading screens/dcing while trying to do simple things I've been smh so much my damn head is gunna spin. -_-

I've tried all I can in game to see if it could fix my character. I'm so tired of looking at that horrible face when I login.

"Will be fixed in future patch".....vague as crap because future can mean anywhere between a second from now and eternity....

I just got out of this nightmare.

The solution to get rid of the vampire look is to cure werewolf, become vampire, cure vampire and become werewolf again.
I hope you have nice friends to help you through this with free bites.
Support gave me some free crowns as a compensation.

My main is still bugged as well and I've pretty much been at a loss of what I could even attempt to try to 'fix'her (if anything). Quick question about the cure/bite/cure/bite method is once I get bit by a WW for the last time is it something I need to keep? Just wondering if it was safe to cure the last bite or if it would nullify the whole process.

Well, since this bug only affected werewolves, I assume you were a werewolf and thus want to become a werewolf again ? If not I assume you can safely get rid of it. Or not do it at all. The purpose of the last bite is basically only to become a WW again. The vampiric look disappears with the cure of vampirism (the 3rd stage of cure/bite/cure/bite ) . I assume the 4th stage is optional.

Can confirm, just worked for me after purchasing vamp from the CS. Went immediately to a priest of Arkay, got cured and bam. No more bugged look. Tyvm again @anitajoneb17_ESO cause holy moly do I appreciate the helping post.

Can also confirm that this worked for me too. Hopefully I will be refunded the ingame gold to pay the damn priest twice. The mistake that Support made was to tell me to cure WW and reinfect with WW. But there were two extra steps available. The Cure, bite, cure bite method (for those wanting there WW back, otherwise omit the last one) is what got me my skin color back. THank you very much @anitajoneb17_ESO , I have been waiting for ZOS to help me for almost 3 months and you provided me the solution, thank you, thank you

Hmm, looks like the curses are sharing code somewhere at a higher level. Needs an exception created for the drink. In fact just change it to give werewolves an special effect... Maybe an animation change with blood or an negative effect.

Though some creative person could have fun in PvP.
