Which quests aren't working properly? Just a couple as an example would help.

    Ok, thanks guys!

To be clear, new quest pins still show up if approached.

Whats missing is quests showing up on their related zone maps, so this is causing the pins to be invisible on the compass as a result. Hopefully this is fixed tonight.

Edit : some objectives still show if near them though it seems, just no form of knowing what direction ya gotta head towards anymore

While we continue to dig into this issue, have you all tried disabling all addons? It's possible you may be running something that's out of date, especially now that we're published such a major update.

Can we get a screenshot, please?

Edit: One more thing - check your Settings and make sure Compass Active Quests and Compass Quest Givers is toggled on.

You can see the missing quest tracking on the map in this video, along with the missing particle effects for most everything:

Here is a screenshot showing the above settings are in fact checked (was working before the patch):

    OvcuvyI.jpg

Also, my character is randomly going low-polygon low-texture despite all graphics being maxed.

    • Deleted my \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\ShaderCache.cooked and re-logged to recreate it.
    • Disabled all addons.
    • Ran a repair.

Just re-logged to check and all still happening, sadly.

I had this issue as well. Solution for me is as follows. Change the following two lines in the usersettings.txt file to match what is shown below. Mine were set to 0

    SET RequestedNumJobThreads "-1"
    SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "-1"

Can confirm, this fixed both problems (missing particles AND missing quest destinations).

First one was already at -1, 2nd was at 0. Now I can see quest on map and see people in my party (with the usual arrow on their head).

    Thanks!

I uninstalled all addons and still cannot see any quests on my maps for any of my characters. I can only see the quest marker on the compass when I am close, not from a distance and not on the map.

    EDIT:
I also Deleted everything in my /documents folder, ran "repair", and still have the same problem.

I'm also not getting the quest icon on the map nor the compass. Also in group, group members do not show up on the compass. I made sure Compass Active Quests and Compass Quest Givers is toggled on, and both "SET RequestedNumJobThreads "-1" , "SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "-1" were correct. Tried it with addons both on and off, on LIVENA and LIVEEU. Had no affect on this bug.

Same problem, also in the Map UI if I select "quests" it states that I have no quests in this Zone. I had one daily quest marker appear on an NPC in the Gold Coast, but as soon as I accepted the quest (Black Sacrament) the markers disappeared (even after entering Trader's Cove still did not appear). I also had a delve daily that I had in my quest journal (Buried Evil), The quest marker for the "Optional Talk to Cleric Arvina for more information" appeared on the compass but not on the map. Once I talked to him the Quest marker disappeared entirely instead of pointing me towards the cave.

Same issue here...regardless which possible solution i try. I not seeing the quest markers.

    - Questgivers are on the map.
    - The following Targets are not visible
    - The Map does not show any open Quests, besides a few daily Quests from Cyrodil (not all)
    - Zooming to a quest does not work

But if you are in 10 meters or near the quest trarget it suddenly appear on the map.

The game is nearly unplayable like this.

And to think some people do this for fun! LOL I love role-play and immersion and all but I can't live without my quest markers! Bring them back!

I should try it someday though, problem is you can't walk up to a random NPC and ask them for directions.
