What is the best way to open a support ticket for an in-game problem

It was suggested I open a ticket for a broken Mage's Guild Quest. It simply disappeared from options, so I can't abandon and restart. In short, it's Mage quest 2, shalidor just doesn't open the portal for Misplaced things after talking to him. The technical support seems to be geared toward error messages and I would prefer not to send an email when they are dealing with people who can't connect or have more significant game issues. Is there some other avenue?
