Imperial City sounds as horrible as I expected it to be, reading all the things on the forum.
I wasn't there by myself and I doubt, I dare going there anytime soon.
But come on this is pts. This is ZoS' first payed DLC. They will make sure, it's a good DLC. It will be on the pts for almost 1 month. More than enough time for us to give ZoS feedback and for them to figure out ways, how to make It more player friendly.
Don't leave, be patient and give feedback. I guess, that's the best thing each of us can do at the moment.

What people do not understand is that there will be a requirement of keeps owned before your alliance can go into IC once the dlc goes live. That means that IC could be open for one alliance all the time 24/7 or closed to everyone for days at a time. All depends on how the war goes. When multiple alliances are inside that is not the time for a pve'er to go inside. You have to play the map and watch how the other alliances are playing to meet their requirement and judge how much time you may have before they can get in. So what people are playing now is to test the actual combat with multiple alliances inside. But, that will not always be the case once live.
I enjoyed IC while I was there last night, but, there are bugs that hang around for months. Not everything found wrong or imbalanced with the IC update will be corrected, or at least not right away. I was thinking about this. Hm it might be true.
But there is no timer right ? For example I am inside the city, but then my alliance looses the control and cannot enter it again. Then I can continue until I die ? Would be quite interesting.
But I see the overpowered Daggerfall Covenant group holding this city like a cancer. I doubt, you can kick a group of overskilled people out of the city.

Hopefully. When I wasn't crashing I sent bug reports in like getting stuck in a wall during a fight at a particular spot and a new achievement not actually tracking progress (at least not in the UI). This is also because most people on the PTS don't actually make threads with constructive feedback or do a correct /bug when an issue is found.
Add to that many players keeps issues a secret for the chance to abuse them on live and get ahead.
ZOS doesn't have the best track record for fixing issues but they have been getting better IMO and now with console out we should see things improve again.

still a full month before this thing gets released, so let the thing settle down a bit before tossing out the hyperboles.

Pointless, if this is the direction they are going with the game then its time for me to sell all my assets and move on to another game.
This is ESO not Darkfall Online, if i wanted to play a pvp loot game i would play that... oh wait no i wouldnt because that also RIP'd. Nobody wants to be looted, leave that to the multi-fail mmo devs.

If there weren't player loot IC would indeed be a positive force for the game like Darkness Falls vitalized PvP in DaoC. With player loot it will just be ganker heaven and reduce the pvp population of this game dramatically.

Depends on how they work things. If your alliance enters and 2 hours later another alliance enters and shuts your alliance out you are in there till you die or use that imperial teleport thing from the vendor (which is what you do if you do not want to pvp and still get it done). The people that stay in there risk losing their stones to the overpowered alliance till the cyrodil map flips and locks them in and others can then go in and clear them out. The question I have is when someone logs out inside IC. Will they be ported to their wayshrine or will they log in to IC and possibly not have any alliance in control and thus can farm all the TV stones they want till some alliance can enter. Possibly that could happen as they could be in there all by themselves and not see another alliance member or anyone for that matter at all.
