    Imperial City sounds as horrible as I expected it to be, reading all the things on the forum.
    I wasn't there by myself and I doubt, I dare going there anytime soon.

    But come on :/ this is pts. This is ZoS' first payed DLC. They will make sure, it's a good DLC. It will be on the pts for almost 1 month. More than enough time for us to give ZoS feedback and for them to figure out ways, how to make It more player friendly.

That means that IC could be open for one alliance all the time 24/7 or closed to everyone for days at a time. All depends on how the war goes. When multiple alliances are inside that is not the time for a pve'er to go inside. You have to play the map and watch how the other alliances are playing to meet their requirement and judge how much time you may have before they can get in. So what people are playing now is to test the actual combat with multiple alliances inside. But, that will not always be the case once live.

    I was thinking about this. Hm it might be true.
    But there is no timer right ? For example I am inside the city, but then my alliance looses the control and cannot enter it again. Then I can continue until I die ? Would be quite interesting.

    But I see the overpowered Daggerfall Covenant group holding this city like a cancer. I doubt, you can kick a group of overskilled people out of the city.

    I enjoyed IC while I was there last night, but, there are bugs that hang around for months. Not everything found wrong or imbalanced with the IC update will be corrected, or at least not right away. Mostly what you see on the PTS is what ends up on live when the patch is released.

    Depends on how they work things. If your alliance enters and 2 hours later another alliance enters and shuts your alliance out you are in there till you die or use that imperial teleport thing from the vendor (which is what you do if you do not want to pvp and still get it done). The people that stay in there risk losing their stones to the overpowered alliance till the cyrodil map flips and locks them in and others can then go in and clear them out. The question I have is when someone logs out inside IC. Will they be ported to their wayshrine or will they log in to IC and possibly not have any alliance in control and thus can farm all the TV stones they want till some alliance can enter. Possibly that could happen as they could be in there all by themselves and not see another alliance member or anyone for that matter at all.

    I had a lot of fun playing for 5-6 hours yesterday, crashing only 3 times during all of that (that is strangely enough better than on Live servers..).

    My friend and I were both above ground and in the sewers, the zergs are definitely present above ground, but it wasn't as bad as it is on Live servers right now since you take less damage from players.

    At one point we killed a player who had about 1200 tel var stones and we got really paranoid. With our separate 600-ish stones that kept increasing with the more npc kills we got, the paranoia in turn increased too. At one point we were sneaking through the sewers after a ganker had caught our scent as it were, a little bit later we were sprinting through the tight corridors after my friend had accidentally aggroed one of the Sweepers who, when we later fought him with 5 companions from our alliance, turned out to have about 3-4 oneshot mechanics.

    You probably had a really bad experience with IC, but I think having an open mind and not being too stressed about keeping your Tel Var stones is definitely the way to go, though when you end up with over a thousand of them you can get very comitted to not dying, heh.

    I will agree that the Blocking nerf is ridiculous, I would rather have it 50% reduced stam regeneration than 0%. Hopefully ZOS will change it after seeing all the negative feedback about it. Speaking of which, if you have a problem with something make sure to voice your opinion, just type /feedback in game.

    Pointless, if this is the direction they are going with the game then its time for me to sell all my assets and move on to another game.
    This is ESO not Darkfall Online, if i wanted to play a pvp loot game i would play that... oh wait no i wouldnt because that also RIP'd. Nobody wants to be looted, leave that to the multi-fail mmo devs.

    This is also because most people on the PTS don't actually make threads with constructive feedback or do a correct /bug when an issue is found.

    Add to that many players keeps issues a secret for the chance to abuse them on live and get ahead.

    ZOS doesn't have the best track record for fixing issues but they have been getting better IMO and now with console out we should see things improve again.

    yep, so far it is a failure. Will see how zos will change it. I don't hold my breath though... This is probably the least interesting DLC from all what they've announced. So I can wait and play rift for now :)

    Sadly this is exactly what I had expected. Too many griefers playing MMOs to leave anything to chance. If it is there it will be exploited.

    Someone from ZOS sounded positively gleeful when talking about ganking during a Twitch presentation a couple of weeks back.

    If something can be exploited in a game you can definitely count on it being taken advantage of.

    Hopefully this is a heads up to work the bugs/exploits out before release.

    Hopefully. When I wasn't crashing I sent bug reports in like getting stuck in a wall during a fight at a particular spot and a new achievement not actually tracking progress (at least not in the UI). Maybe if IC is more stable tonight I can test more things.

    Once the access system is changed for alliance to control and cut enemy access it will be much better. When your alliance has control and cleared out the enemy zerg you will be able to accomplish everything PVE wise inside but will still have to watch your back there will still be a enemy lurker or two btu for the most part you can get stones. then when your side loses access you know to go bank them.

    This is the truth. All player loot MMOs have been dismal failures in the past decade, simply because the wast majority of MMO players hate it.

    I cannot understand what has gone through the minds of the devs here to make them think this is a good idea for ESO?!? This will drive a lot more players away from the game than it will attract.

    If there weren't player loot IC would indeed be a positive force for the game like Darkness Falls vitalized PvP in DaoC. With player loot it will just be ganker heaven and reduce the pvp population of this game dramatically.

    Couldnt agree more, the looting of stones needs to be disabled, and it will shine a whole new light on IC.
    Darkness Falls was amazing in DAOC, nobody minds being ganked, we do mind losing hours of work.

    What people do not understand is that there will be a requirement of keeps owned before your alliance can go into IC once the dlc goes live. That means that IC could be open for one alliance all the time 24/7 or closed to everyone for days at a time. All depends on how the war goes. When multiple alliances are inside that is not the time for a pve'er to go inside. You have to play the map and watch how the other alliances are playing to meet their requirement and judge how much time you may have before they can get in. So what people are playing now is to test the actual combat with multiple alliances inside. But, that will not always be the case once live.

    But there is no timer right ? For example I am inside the city, but then my alliance looses the control and cannot enter it again. Then I can continue until I die ? Would be quite interesting.

    But I see the overpowered Daggerfall Covenant group holding this city like a cancer. I doubt, you can kick a group of overskilled people out of the city.

    Depends on how they work things. If your alliance enters and 2 hours later another alliance enters and shuts your alliance out you are in there till you die or use that imperial teleport thing from the vendor (which is what you do if you do not want to pvp and still get it done). The people that stay in there risk losing their stones to the overpowered alliance till the cyrodil map flips and locks them in and others can then go in and clear them out. The question I have is when someone logs out inside IC. Will they be ported to their wayshrine or will they log in to IC and possibly not have any alliance in control and thus can farm all the TV stones they want till some alliance can enter. Possibly that could happen as they could be in there all by themselves and not see another alliance member or anyone for that matter at all.

    As far as the log out thing goes. It is hard to say. I know currently if you log out you log back in where you were in IC. I know they are testing the entrance requirements in PTS and will be changing the setup over time. Right now everyone can enter at will and it is a gank fest of camping respawn locations and entrances.

    As far as the content goes I do not see enough to keep me entertained for a whole quarter. Maybe if PvP becomes more balanced and they change the 100% drop of TV Stones I could enjoy IC.

    They should reduce stamina regen by like 50% when blocking, not 100%. As a class that basically has zero mobilty you have to block, if you let your block down once or you run out of stamina you get instantly CCd and then it's over.

    I've been playing on PTS and I've had no trouble tanking, just don't permablock. Only block when you need to.

    I'm new here.... so when you loot the other players. What all are you able to take exactly? Surely most of their belongings are bound to them? Right?

    1) Tanking is not dead you just have to know how to tank now.
    2) It's PTS and the pvp server is maxed out of course there's lag to the point of abl to kill you before you load on your end.
    3) There working on a fair risk reward system of the stones and if you see a zerg go hide in a dungeon or run away to live another day. That's how PvP is now so why be any diffrent for IC
    4)ZoS is just doing there job if you think you can do better then put a app in the said they will gladly hire any one with degrees and exp in animations, game design, audio, graphics, you get the picture.

    ESO is gonna be living for some years to come. Bye Bye and take care while those who wanna have fun have fun in the Imperial City.
