Maintenance Completion Bar

I just thought of something that would solve a lot of their issues involving people crying about servers down for maintenance. They should just create a load bar. And after they complete one of their tasks then it fills up some. Once it's full then servers are back on. That way no one has to ask how much longer. Think that's what gets under people skin. Not knowing the progress. Does this sound like a good idea? Comment yes or no. Maybe if enough people show they want something like this then they will implement it.

Nothing fancy needs to be implemented. Just information needs to be shared.

All they'd have to do is do something like this on the xbox one forum category alert bar :

[Maintenance] Regular maintenance 14/07/15 from 1000 GMT to 1200 GMT
[Maintenance] Regular maintenance extended by 2 hours expected to end at 1400

Or even do what they've done previously, and simply create a thread for it.

We're not asking for a complete 4 page report on the maintenance, just a little 2 line memo that'll keep us satisfied.

That's what I'm saying. It's no details. Just a bar filling up. Its something to keep us informed and yes It takes more to create then a typed message but it could be built to automatically update instead of someone having to type out a message just to update people.

Exactly, and since its related, I'll also mention here that a little information during unscheduled down times would also be appreciated.
I, like many others, can be a patient guy, but I lose my mind when I'm kept in the dark about anything I care about.

I like the bar idea, but really it's a further request for any information updates to filter down to we folks on the ground level, wanting to play but not able to.

I think the largest annoyance with information lacking, is the difficulty it presents to working around that schedule. I have many other things I could do in the real world, but it's hard to pick one when I don't know how long I will be cut off from Tamriel.
