Console "Group Finder", Here is whats wrong with it, and what could be fixed!

So, the console Group Finder, at first glance a perfect tool to an MMO for consoles, but the system is horribly slow, and needs some added features for it to actually be a helpful tool rather than one that annoys the hell out of the gamers.

First off, the Queuing times are super super slow, i mean, for real, i don't know the reason behind this, but usually it takes longer than 15 minutes to find 2/3 people and add them in the group. I can't believe there are so few people playing on the EU server that it has to take so long, but then again maybe there just aren't enough people.

1st:
Right, so when we finally do have a full group of people, the actual problem starts, people not using Headsets, and thus not able to communicate with their just founded group members. it often takes quite some effort and management (opening the console message system etc) to finally get all 4 players into the right dungeon to start it up.

Solution:
Zenimax, perhaps you can implement a feature that would prompt a pop-up stating that the group founder is complete, and ask us to immediately travel to the desired Dungeon that was selected for Group finder. For those that selected queue for random dungeon will just be prompted to go to the Dungeon the others in the group selected. if all 4 selected random dungeon, just have the system pick one for us!

2nd:
Role selection, i mean, why would you give anyone the option to select 2 roles in a group finder? i know the class system is build for diversity, but all you will achieve here is combine groups of 4 DPS'ers, cause you know every class can DPS and someone that selected to be a Tank, might also select DPS. and without them Headsets its hard to tell a SnB DK to start tanking instead of DPSing. as it is now the system just checks at all the roles that someone selects, and puts them in a group according to that.

Solution:
Implement a feature that lets us make a single choice before every queue we want to join, if i feel like i want to DPS i select the Role DPS and join the Queue, if i feel like Tanking i select tanking and join the Queu, that way you can prevent a lot of confusion and frustartion as to what role everyone has. and you can actually put 2 DPS in a group with 1 Tank and 1 Healer.

These 2, i believe simple adjustments, would solve probably 80% of the current confusion and frustrations that come with the current group finder. you will always have the occasional guy/girl that just selects a role and does not act on it, or someone who leaves his Console without leaving the queue but you know, this won't happen all the time.

Other than this, and i know Zenimax can't help this, but for those that play it on the Xbox One, use your free headset, no need to be shy, just say hello and ask if anything is not clear!

What say you all?

Cheers,

yes! please fix the group tool. I just want a few, uncomplicated dungeon runs after work.

    Agreed!
Please fix this asap. Ran my first dungeon last week after wasting 3 hours with finding a group (being DPS or Tank)
Last group I joined I didn't noticed they were already started.. so even a guy like me who is eager to enter a dungeon can accidentally miss this..
Eventually I joined the fight, been the tank and got absolutely hooked on this adventure! It's really nice to pay these dungeons, once inside.

    Totally agree with nr. 1.
i don't agree with nr.2 for the lower lvl dungeons, but i get the point for the vet ones.

@Yaillen Yes, nr. 2 will be far more important when it comes to Veteran Dungeons..

The veteran dungeons are insane, and they do require everyone in the group to communicate, pay attention and act their role.
