North America Megaserver Down?

I just got a lot of lag and the booted from the server. When I got back to the server select screen it says, "Could not retrieve announcements." The Europe Megaserver seems to be fine but I haven't played on that yet. Is there maintenance going on or something?
Note: the only thing I got from this was a hilarious clip of making my horse jump in water because the lag prevented it from disappearing when I went into deep water. Lol
