Tonight's Xbox One Maintenance (length of downtime?)

Is there any idea on how long the maintenance will last or do they have a standard time that their maintenance's usually last? I've been able to find any consistent information.

I appreciate them doing the maintenance, and hope it fixes some of the bugs.

However, it would be nice to know how long the servers will be down. I can't remember an MMO that didn't give an ETA on servers being restored, post maintenance.

I dunno how long it will be down but from the one admin's post on my thread, it might be down for a while the way he replied made it sound this one is actually involving a patch to fix the invisible npcs an such.

The information given to us about patches and maintenance is the worst I have ever seen. This ESO Live *** is no way to keep people informed. These forums are pointless for anything useful.

It is. It still doesn't give any kind of ETA. Definitely no problem here on it taking awhile if it fixes alot of things that they are talking about they're just one of the first MMO companies I have ran across that does not seem to give any type of ETA.

It would be awesome if we got patch notes etc. Like the the pc to see what they have fixed or have updated.

We are likely to get patch notes about 1 hour before patch is complete going by my pc experience.

They don't want to get our hopes up by giving us patch notes too early, there is too much of a chance they are going to *** it up and break more ***. [snip]

At lest its not EA server mainternance.
When they do it all they do is turn the server off then back on to remove any memory build ups.

I havent noticed any patch notes like the pc version

The best they have is the thread with major issues that they update.

All previous maintenance times have varied from about 50 minutes to about 3 hours

I personally don't care how long it takes as long we see some fixes. You can't always get what you want. No need to complain if they are working on fixing the game.

We don't currently have an ETA at this time but we'll keep you updated. This is our very first time performing a console incremental patch maintenance, so we don't yet have a solid timeframe. As we do more of these, we'll get a better idea of approximately how long they take and be able to provide estimated timeframes.

Thank you Jessica. Figured it had something to do with being the first type of a patch for the consoles. Appreciate the update and any that might be forthcoming later.

Sounds like a sidestep to me, working in IT and being a programmer myself, any task laid out before me i have an idea of how long it will take.

Something like ESOTU, which has a micro-transaction store, you would surely set a target for downtime/potential losses.

And if everyone used the first time excuse, nothing would ever be 100%.

(Sorry this game doesn't work atall, it is our first time making this game during a full moon on a Thursday)

And as a tip, keeping us updated, usually means having a space where YOU post and tell us what is going on, rather than eventually replying to a post which has been going on for 3 hours, with no prior notification on what we can expect.

As I saw it was coming, and guessed that, being the first one, it might take a wee while longer, I planned accordingly. It is a beautiful day in Costa Del Belfast, and I feel the need for a sunburn

That said, in the MMOUniverse it seems essential to have a complaint about everything and anything, and so I humbly offer this - Why was it not done at 1am GMT? That means we (as in UK, Ireland etc) would have slept through it
Weak, I know, but we mustn't upset the MMOGods..
