this wait time *** should have been resolved before the game released...totally disappointed Bethesda, Zenimax and every other involved in this the worst period game launch period ever period! Crashes, waits and glitches, how a bout a refund?

    I just hope that they will give some sort of compensation for dealing with this ****, I have been trying to play since launch and I can't stay connected for more than 2 minutes.

    Why couldn't they just make a sequel, cat Land or lizard land? Why do we have to not be able to play with 1000 people we don't know? I played oblivion into the ground, the same with Skyrim and love them both, this EOS idea is the dumbest *** ever.

Right now peak times are around 5-9:00 pm (eastern time) and that would explain the long load times and having to wait in a que to login. now the only issues are lag in pvp- which is to be expected since it is a MMO.- which to be fair, you probably knew to begin with before you bought the game, and zenimax had also told the public before even its launch on PC that ESO would be completely different. Furthermore, zenimax did not know that their game would be this successful and had to recalibrate the mega servers to optimize player capacity- they are also trying to increase server capacity as well and it should be running pretty smoothly within a weak. Generally speaking, ESO has revolutionized gaming and to be fair its predecessors of the series have pretty much done the same upon their releases as well.

    Generally speaking the ones that are having server issues now are mostly people with bad internet. In that situation it's not zenimax to blame.

    MMO's are always glitchy at first- there's no way around that. Most games these days are. However, humanity has forgotten to be parient. Entertainment is a privilege not an entitlement or right. Love what you've got- a game that's wonderfully crafted with some flaws and wrinkles in which its developers are working to improve to satisfy the demands of their customers. I doubt you'll get a refund however zenimax may offer crowns or experience boosters to compensate players. However I wouldn't focus on that theory too much.

    What a lovely sales pitch! Now let me tell you about privileges and rights, when I'm told a game will be playable and I shell out the money to play it, it's my bought and paid for right to play the game, my internet connection is flawless and to be completely fair don't preach at me until after you fix the issues. Didn't think it would be so popular...what a crock, marketing is science not some sort of willie nillie guessing game, sell your BS to 12 year olds but don't insult my intelligence.
    Fix it or STFU.

    PC players got compensation through days added to subscriptions when this happened at PC launch. I think it was a week or 10 days.

    But now that the game is B2P I'm not sure what they'll do. Probably a pet or something like that...

    I really like the game but my issues with Greenshade are killing it for me.

    I've lost countless hours just trying to force my character to log in. After trying 43 times one after another it loads and responds, only to have it crash from another issue. Then I have to repeat the process.

    Apparently this was a rare PC issue which shouldn't happen constantly. Well it is and the fact its been an issue for so long is frankly disgusting. Just taking a glance over past issues has me worried that ZoS wont be fast on fixing it.

    As it stands I would struggle to say the game is fit for purpose.

    It's Sunday morning, I have super fast 152mb fibre broadband, no problems playing other games and MMOs and I've been logged in WAITING to play the game for over half an hour now. I logged on at 8:30am, surely not a busy time.

    I've played lots of MMOs and, days after the release, I've never come across anything this bad.

    I want my money back. I've wasted too much time on a game I now couldn't care less about. I was excited on Tuesday, frustrated on Wednesday and now, Sunday morning, I've lost all interest. I'll go back to Warcraft

    How do we get our money back? I bought a digital download from Microsoft

    Oh it's resolved, all of us who haven't been able to get out of the prison due to getting kicked every 5 minutes and waiting trying to log in for hours on end still disagree with you. I've looked at load screens and error messages for over 5 hours and have only been in the game for about 30 minutes most of which were 3 minutes long at best. Still watching load screens right now haven't been in game at all today. 60mbps average sometimes better with xfinity performance blast which isn't bad internet. I understand MMOs usually have a longer rocky start than other games which is why I was hesitant to buy in the first place, but I love Elder scrolls games no matter how buggy they usually are but at least everyone could start playing on day one. It's almost a week and some people haven't been able to get off the load screens.

    Been playing for days with friends, no issues with lag or getting kicked. Game plays 1000X times better than expected at launch.

    I agree. The server issues are frustrating but i tend to think issues like these are growing pains. The first console game i ever played online was socom on PS2 on a PHONE line. It was riddled with issues and wait times were literally absurd but the experience of playing with , if i remember correctly, three other people was amazing and worth the 20 minute lobby sync times. It's only getting bigger. I have no idea how many people can play simultaneously on ESO on Xbox One servers and the fact that I can't count how many people i see in world immerses me into the experience even more. I believe ESO is the second MMO on consoles. I know there was a final fantasy game for 360 but i don't know of any others.

    These issues will be fixed and new issues will arise but ESO is in the infancy of the console MMO. Do i think any company should release a game they know is broken? Absolutely not.

    I do not believe ZOS knowingly released a broken game. I believe they are at the forefront of the console MMO and that the knowledge they obtain now will serve many more games from many different developers in the future.

    I disagree, im a 'console kid' as stopped playing pcs games years ago. i know very very well how MMOs work iv been playing them since Star Wars Galaxies and was release day WOW player.

    i agree that the release was good but could have been better, some of the basic fundamentals are still broken and need to be addressed as soon as possible before people start to leave and lose faith.

    you need to realise that a lot of the comments are valid and some of them, not all of them, are coming from people who may have been playing MMOs for ages, like myself.

    for all you having issues with connecting and playing, i've been in game EVERY single time i've wanted to play. Right after server maintenance last night, I was in-game instantly. Even logged out at 10PM to apply my ESO Plus membership and got right back in with a 5 minute queue wait, if that since I was doing things while waiting. One little bit of advice:

    Check your NAT settings before anything. If it's showing as strict or moderate, it's an issue on your router side.

    And please for the love of gd, do not brag about your internet and then say you are playing wireless. Any MMO player knows better than to play on wireless.

    Yeah.. Agree.. The start issues with the game really sucks, i also want to if someone has a cold how play with his child during the game but it always joins back into the chat this including none show npc's during quest and permaent disconnects during level load time is worse.. QS seams to not exist.

    Since Daggerfall this seams to be the most buggy Elder Scrolls Game. Very sad, the game could be great at all.

    Starting to want my money back as well. Expected some growing pains bugs and glitches like all elder scrolls and fallout games but also expected to be able to play for more than 30 minutes at a time or less. I play on console because console games are supposed to work without special settings and setups. All other console games work online, all other apps work online, with no lag or being kicked out why isn't this one? Would be a good game if I could play uninterrupted for more than 30 minutes at a time or less.

    Not sure how you can call it dead when they have around 7 million subscribers still. And it had been in the top 5 games for over ten years now.... Don't be stupid.

    Everyone needs to take a breath....seriously...the game is totally worth the wait. I understand that it is frustrating...I have had all the problems mentioned above and a few more....but you gotta give ZOS some time to get the servers in order. It is not a simple as we would all like to believe to make an MMO work...especially now that we are in Tamriel. The wealth of lore and options to choose from here is overwhelming...everything will be fixed eventually. I have never heard of an MMO with a perfect release. It is just not possible there is unfortunately no sure-fire way to make sure that at release the servers are going to be able to handle all of the traffic. Also...there are no refunds...the terms of service in the Microsoft store strictly states even before you download anything from the store that all sales are final!

    ^^^^^^ I agree with oXb3. This is their first console MMO. Gotta expect problems. Personally, for me, I've been playing the game since day 2 (because I couldn't connect on day 1) and I've been loving this game. I've put a lot of hours into it already. From my experience there are very few MMO's out there are run perfectly. MMO's as a whole are constantly evolving and constantly improving. There's constant patches, they're always trying to make the game better for us. There are bugs, yes, but honestly, there are bugs in every game now a days. It's not a great reality, but it's a reality you have to face and expect now. And for me, personally, the bugs I've experienced aren't game breaking and they certainly don't make me want my money back. Obviously I'm not experiencing what you're experiencing but I do believe that these problems you're having will get resolved.

    And to call it the worst game launch ever is just complete and utter craziness. Lest we forget Battlefield 4's launch.
