"Warning Davon's Watch" Quest not prompted

So I apparently finished the quest "Breaking the Tide" in Bal Foyen after fighting General Vette. I didn't actually defeat him since I died during the fight and the quest apparently finished for me.

I understand I am supposed to be prompted for this next quest upon receiving my reward from Centurion Mobareed, but for some reason, he hasn't done so at all. I've tried to talk to him many times, but the only dialogue option I am given is "Goodbye".

I've also tried relogging several times, but no dice. Obviously, abandoning the quests is out of the question since I have nothing to abandon at all.

I noticed while looking for answers everywhere that this bug has been around since last year, and now its carried over to consoles...? Why hasn't this been fixed?

Does anyone know of a workaround to this?

Ok my pretties,

I have discovered much to my frustration, after a couple hours of useless troubleshooting, that the quest is not bugged. You cannot pick up the quest from either the Centurion or Darj, because you most likely already have a quest in your log called Legacy of the Ancestors that you picked up in Davons Watch. The Warn Davons Watch quest is just an introduction to this next quest. You can either skip the introduction, since you don't really need it, or drop that quest from your inventory and you will be able to pick up the intro quest from either of the above NPC's.
