Hello all,

I am sorry to start another thread dedicated to building advice, but this one is really hard to determine by myself. I have read lots of literature on the web and in particular on this forums, and obviously, not many have tried to achieve what I am contemplating or the advice given is out of date (pre 1.6).

I am trying to build a DK, who would be a melee fighter, wearing heavy armor and using 1h&s combo.

I am playing most often solo for now, and will anyway focus on PVE (and I hear end game PVE may be challenging and demanding in terms of strategy when it comes to building one's character). I do not totally rule out playing PVP at some point, but I'll have another toon dedicated to it in that case.

I would like that one to focus on DPS (even though I know that with his weapon and shield, he won't out damage a 2 weapons wielder or a 2 handed weapon wielder). I would like that one be good at tanking enough to be able to be on the front line and fight in melee, but I don't want to make it a pure tank. I have another DK dedicated to becoming a full tank.

My question is: how should I allocate my attribute points ? My first feeling would have been to distribute them between several pools, but I hear this is not a viable option anymore.

Obviously, most of my profession skills eat Magicka, but I need to dodge and block from time to time and my 1h&s skills eat stamina.

I guess that my heavy armor, my shield and my ancillary equipment (glyphs, food, etc.) should allow me to dedicate enough bonus to health, but I am not sure enough, really.

Should I put all my points into Stamina (making it, what I assume is called a "stamina build") or should I distribute them equally between stamina and magicka?
