DK Fire Mage build after 1.6

Hey everybody, I've been trying my hand at running a DK fire mage build. It's going well, but I was just curious if there was anything new I should be doing post-update. I'm only lvl 40, so my current character isn't totally developed yet. I'm open to any suggestions!

Anyways the discussion over there has been fairly productive, people seem to want to lean away from mages since the stamina meta but they are still pretty good. Probably be using similar too if my Dunmer wasnt someones tanking ***** T_T lol

I have a v3 DK pryomage atm, he kicks as. Granted he's a couple thousand dps behind his stamina counterpart he's more fun to play and better dps than the other magicka builds.

Haha I'm so behind everything. I kept hearing that stamina builds were a joke, so I started working on a strong magicka build and now it's flip-flopped! I think I'll stick with it for now and see how far I can take it.

@RainfeatherUK thanks for the reference link, I'm running a pretty similar setup so I guess I'm doing okay.

Magicka builds are still totally viable so I wouldn't fret. Anyone who thinks they're a joke hasn't done their research.

If you enjoy playing the DK Mage, play it. It's a wicked lot of fun and the dps numbers are phenomenal with the right build/gear.

Post update 1.6 you should choose the opposite morph of unstable flame, you should level up ash cloud to eruption as well as structured entropy from mages guild. And level up your undaunted. Also if you were using crushing shock, pick up opposite morph of force pulse instead.

Yvw Glad it was useful. Its certainly more of a challenge now but more fun and less common which is better! I wouldnt be put off if you really enjoy it anyway.

Stamina is quite vicious comparitively (Looking at you Stamina Imperial DK >_<) but nothing we wont get past eventually im sure. Still a ways to go with builds generally atm.
