My only wish for Sorcs : Please reduce RNG

Actually I feel quite OK with my Sorc after 1.6 changes.

Only thing that really disturbs me, I guess Sorc is the most trolled class with the RNG gods, I don't know RNG have such big effect on any other class at all.

First candidate is Crystal Fragments with its %35 proc rate, you may get lucky and it can proc 4 times inside of 4s and you will have godly DPS or it may not proc at all for like 10s and your DPS will suck big time. Why not give %100 proc chance but 4s (open to discussion) internal cooldown, so it can not proc like crazy but it will also stop being so unpredictable.

2nd candidate Surge and its heals, you might get lucky and get 10000 healing in 1s or you might get unlucky get 300 healing in 1s. There must be a way to normalize this, like looking what was the biggest heal inside of 0.25s internal CD and giving that as heal base. Or add all the damage during that period and give its average as heal but definitely something more consistent than either 10000 heal or 300 heal.

3nd candidate is not so obvious, actually most people think Liquid Lighting is big buff to energy management and damage of Sorcs but it is actually big two sided sword of the RNG gods, before 1.6 my energy recovery method in AOE situations was the "Destruction Expert" talent of the Destruction Staff which refund Magika if a mob dies from Destruction Staff spell. My typical combo was Lightning Flood + Elemental Ring while lightning flood was hitting like 4s and the DOT from ER was for 10s it was most likely the mobs will die from it and I will get around 2K magika back per mob. Now if I am lucky (again that word) my ER dot will kill the mobs and I will get huge refund or ER dot will be on the mobs but LL will kill them while its duration is same as LL now and I will get nothing. So either I swim in Magika or I starve for it. Again two extremes, I think better option would be, if the mobs die while effected from Destruction Staff Spell Magicka will be refunded but reduce the Magika refund, lets say 750 (open to discussion) instead of 2000.

4th candidate is Disintegration passive from Storm Calling %6 change for 4K damage for low HP mobs, so if I am lucky it can proc 4 times in 0.25s and can hit 4 mobs each for 4K - 16K in total or will not do anything. Again 2 big extremes, better version should be %100 proc with 5s (open to discussion) internal CD.

I am not a big expert about other classes but I am not aware of any one of them has so much RNG attached to their main class mechanics, I think this much RNG must be toned down for Sorcs.

RNG for sorcs skills isnt bad in my experience, during short fights is not so important (no sustain issues) and during long fights the number of skills being used is high enough to get an even RNG.

The only skill that needs a change is Power Surge imo, its completely useless because it offers very little healing and it costs a lot to cast. I get more healing from a single rapid regeneration which is practically free to cast. If they want to make power surge any good they should remove the internal cooldown or at least change it to heal of the biggest crit hit during the 0,25 second. Its not helping when you get healed for 40% of a liquid lightning crit or burning crit.

Disintegration is mostly useful in aoe situations with many enemies or on bosses with a big health pool. It becomes better when you manage to get many lightning ticks on enemies with -25% health. Liquid Lightning, Elemental Wall and Elemental Ring with a lightning staff are the best ways to get disintegration to proc a lot.

Lots of interresting ideas here, not opposed to any of them per se. BUT, I will add that Disintegration dmg is trivial compared to what it was in 1.5 and therefore needs a buff either in % chance to procc or the dmg. @ZOS_GinaBruno

If it would be only Disintegration I would not write this post, it is just combination of dealing Crystal Fragmenst/Surge/Destruction Talent/Disintegration RNG all in the same time frustrates me.

Once I am godly and next I suck because RNG gods don't like me.
