Question: Ideal role for an Orc in PvE?

I am an old Vet form back in the Beta days and played for a month or two after official release, but, it's obviously been a long while. Many changes have ben made to the game, and I am itching to pick the game up again, especially since it went F2P.

I am heavily thinking or Role Playing an Orc, not really sure why in all honesty. I just think they are big bruising badarses who can get into trouble and leave bodies in their wake. I'm just not sure what Class and build to play them. I'm rather fond of Paladins, however, I don't feel I want my Orc as defensive with Heals and such. I just want him to have self-sustain in combat.

So, my question is this: Orc, ideal Class/Build and role in PvE? (Can this build transition to PvP should I choose to dabble?)

Points I'd like to address:
+ Durability is important
+ Damage is 2nd only to staying Alive
+ Gap Closers are smexy
+ As are ANY forms of CC

- Not interested in being MP dependant
- Not interested in being squishy

After a bit more thought, I would be open to other Races, so long as they fit what I'm looking for and I can make good use of their Racials.
That is, that they would be a Beefy, Bruiser. Capable of taking some hits, dishing some hits, and generally being fairly well sustained in combat.

Orcs are meh. If you wanna be beefy but still viable try imperial. Jack of all trades. Huge boosts to their health and stam with their passives and translate well to tanky roles. Imperial DK can take a beating and if you go stam damage you could run 2h and stomp a few faces.

Redguard/Imperial if you want to be beefy and take some hits, as well as smack a hoe with your lava whip when they get to clingy.

Kay kidding aside, Imperial and Redguard are the best tank classes so to speak because of their stamina boosts, if you want a big brute of a tank, Nords work to, due to their passive damage mitigation and health regeneration never hurt anyone.
