Stat scaling in 1.6

Hi,

I just returned after a long break an noticed that my nightblade at level 33 has more than 8000 health with broken equipment. As far as i remember, when I played RVR (where everyone is 50 and only some where high VR) health pools varied from 1500 to about 3000. Now I went to to read up on some class builds and on Tamriel Foundry I read that NB tanks can assume to have 30k health at VR14. This seems a bit rough to me - the you-know-which-mmo had great problems with such large numbers and recently downscaled it a bit, but this point was reached after 10 years on the market. Did TESO just hit ridiculous numbers without even one expansion?

Can anyone please tell me that this change is indeed beneficial and works as intended - is the gap between low level and high level characters indeed so profound? To be honest this spoils immersion for me and I liked that initially ESO had this neat, clean system. Could some experienced players comment on this?

Regards
Paul

It's only my opinion but I benefit from having the inflated numbers. The ideology behind this change is being able to see the "granularity" of the system. In other words when you add a 0.5% increase from a CS passive you can now see the change in the number. While taking a little adjusting to get used to, I think this is a more beneficial way. It is indeed working as intended although you may want to get rid of the outdated "softcaps" addons if you're running it as it will screw with your character sheet.

In regards to the player separation from level, I say, don't sweat it. As IRL there will always be players with more or less time to play than you.

Edit: you also mention HP, the current meta is roughly 20k HP at v14 for most endgame content.

The upscaling was necessary because of the small steps some champion skills provide with higher levels. So you could see that 0,2% addition in your numbers. Elsewise they would have had to add decimals, which would be quite awkward ;)
