My wife and I have just very recently returned to game, have been away almost a year now and so very much has changed. I was hoping for some help, I am having trouble deciding how to go about making a 2h Templar stamina build but not sure if thats the way to go or if there is a better way to go about the melee dps with a templar. Is the melee side of Templar even worth it or should I run with magic based?

There is a really nice Stamina PvP build on the Battlemasters Corner or w/e its called. Mostly you'll either tank or heal at this point. Idk if even with the update if Templar could ever dps as well as the other classes.

Also depends on what you want to do in terms of pve or pvp, etc.

Even if Templars are super at dps, they can still dps and offer group support skills. Deltia's gaming has an interesting pvp build for that which also would work for pve.

You might want to consider racial passives as well. I didn't when I first made my Templar. I wish I had known more about what Templars can do and how racial passives can help with the roles you want to play.

Many of us didn't consider racial passives when making toons because soft caps were in place and racial passives really meant the difference of .1-.5% of a difference on any metric. Now, with the change to soft caps and racials, it's a bigger deal and anyone with a *** race choice shouldn't blame themselves. Racials should really just be removed completely until ZOS allows race change.
