Justice System and Healing

jasonquigley646_ESO
This was something I submitted a feedback report on during PTS and I was really hoping it would have been addressed...my quick death proved it was not. It would be nice to have a toggle that would stop our "smart heals" i.e. Mutagen for example, from hitting anyone flagged as a fugitive. There is a toggle in the Settings menu for targeting NPC's, so I would think that adding a healing toggle would be possible as well.

As it stands right now, if a fugitive gets hit with any of my healing spells inadvertently I am immediately flagged and pummeled. What if I want to heal or shield the NPC so they live long enough for the guards to show up and help? I know Justice is in its infancy, I just hoped it wouldn't launch with player driven crime only, as there is no player driven enforcement possible at the moment.

    Gameplay

Casting a heal over time on another player character who then quickly commits a crime in front of a guard will no longer share the guard’s ire with you

Very sure....I believe this person had committed a crime previously and was still flagged but they were hidden, so they were not being pursued. But because my heal hit them I acquired their status and received a sword to the face. Hence the reason we need a toggle that stops our heals from hitting any fugitive. It shouldn't be too much to ask for to have some discretion as to where my own spells go.

They could have taken fall damage and decided to use a heal skill, or were using the effect for RP, or just having fun spamming their skills, or cat walked over the keyboard....

Does it matter? Whether I clicked on the heal by accident or casted it to see what the tick might be after I respecc'd shouldn't matter..the outcome is the same. If someone were to take fall damage while in town and decide to heal themselves this would also happen to them.

I'm sure as well. I couldn't even get healing springs to trigger this on the PTS, but breath of life sure earned me a bounty on Live.

For me, it wss testing out my new build. The reason doesn't really matter.

haha i died inside Elden Root, when my friend hit a guard and I pressed the heal button as a reflex, since I'm so used to be a healer..... guard came to me after killing him, and killed me. I even had to pay the guard gold to clear my name afterwards.

Honestly i agree with OP here, this is very unfair. I could go and steal stuff, then sneak into someone who is casting heals and get them arrested or killed. I see a storm of incomming trolling on that point.

Yup, I did this all the time in 1.5 and now in 1.6 when swapping skills and gear out for healing. Of course, I also like jumping out of high windows and popping a BoL when I land
