Justice System Improvements (IMO)

I've got a small complaint about the justice system that i think, (In my opinion and many of my friends') i think that the system feels quite rusty and 'off' the way you can attack NPC's that have no relevance but not any questgivers or merchants, You can't even pickpocket them! I think that if you implemented it so that all merchants and most quest giver NPC's (Excluding people like the prophet and other really important ones, queen Ayrenn etc) if you made it so they were still attackable but not actually killable, like in Skyrim or like how the guards are in the system right now, this would make the whole experience feel a lot more 'Elder Scrollsish' and much more immersive for PC and Console alike. It would improve the game greatly and make the entire thing smoother and flow better

Yeah I'm gonna say no. The reason is there are those Players who would grief others constantly by attacking the NPC you're trying to interact with. The way ZoS did it is perfect.

    Absolutely not.

This opens the doors for all kinds of griefing.

If I had one complaint about the Justice System, it'd be the fact that I still get a bounty and wanted level raise when I break into a house and murder it's occupants.

Why? No one escaped, all the witnesses are dead.

I don't see how it would allow griefing. If The merchants and questgivers were made invulnerable like guards are, it would just make it seem more natural.

What they need to add - standings with the cities and vendors. If you kill too much you should not be able to get any quests but the thieves guild and should not be able to buy any stuff from normal vendors - just from the fences. That would be wonderful.

Okay let me break it down this way.

If merchants and questgivers were attackable. What would happen to people in conversation with or in the vendor interface when some knucklehead comes along and attacks them?

They'd be pulled out and unable to re-engage the conversation or re-access the store until said knucklehead has moved on.

They're already invulnerable, because you can't attack them. It's not a question of being able to kill them, it's the principle of interrupting another player's game time by harassing the NPC with which they're trying to interact.

Does that better explain how this would be open-season for griefers and d-bags?

Hell no. It would be a 24/7 non-stop grief fest. Even in it's current form, someone is going to find a way to grief it.

There's always "That Guy". Or girl....or them that don't wish to be labeled. Or whatever. To be all politically correct and whatnot.

Did you one shot them, or did they have time to scream? I found when I one shotted the NPC, I got no bounty, but if it took a second or two (they had time to scream) I got bounty.
