Hybrid and Stamina Sorc build for 1.6

I haven't played this game since beta so I am completely new to character building for this game. I took a few days to catch up and now I would like some feedback on a Hybrid and a Stamina based build for 1.6. I read that hybrid build may die off because the soft caps are gone but if I did a 31/31 split would they be far behind? Do most DPS builds not go 31 hp/ 31 main stat? I saw a lot of builds stacking nothing but health.

My Hybrid build would be 31 magic / 31 stamina.
Features include:
1 stamina and 1 magic based shield
Spell pen and armor pen debuff
Major melee and spell damage buff
Major and minor physical and spell resist buff
Magic regen from overload and dark exchange at reduced stam
Ranged execute and sustained damage with heavy attacks as filler
Gap closer
Highest base armor and spell resist with heavy armor and shield
Almost no critical surge heal wasted since it only has one dot from Lightning form

It would use magic bound armor, mana dark exchange with lesser stamina drain, and spell power and melee damage surge.

It would use stamina bound armor, ult regen buff crippling slash, Stamina morph dark exchange, and Group buff Negate.

I forgot to mention these are both Sword and shield builds and the race is Redguard. For some reason I had to critical surges on bar 1 of the hybrid build. That is actually being replaced by crystal fragments with the 35% proc chance.
