Stealth and dodge. Why does it break stealth to dodge?

Theres a bunch of spells/abilities you can cast without breaking stealth, why does something so simple as dodgerolling also break it?

In real life a dodge roll is nearly silent. If this is intentional it might be because immediately upon stealth one could double dodge and clear too much ground too quickly for any chance of finding that person.
