Viable Builds for Any Class to Get started Testing with

Hello Everyone,

I really wanted to Post a discussion about viable Builds in PTS.

Reason being I am having trouble finding any basic builds while testing classes to start with.

Anyone who would like to post a build for others to try out or basic build to start with for any Class would be greatly appreciated.

Please if you can list Class - Race - Stat Points Distribution - PVP or PVE (Tank DPS Heal Support) - Champion Points Invested - the Skills -

And Key Combination of these Skills on Survival and DPS or Function. (a brief Explanation to me or others on how the build works)

I was currently only fluent on Sorcerer builds and skills and I find it very hard to test other Classes without a basic template of a viable build. A VR14 is a huge base Fully unlocked and so much has changed with 1.6 that a lot of Older builds just simply aren't usable any longer.

Its a lot thrown at some people all at once with no real directions to get started....

I am not even Sure how to Allocate Stat points at this point.

So Come on Any and All and Post any Builds or Combo's of skills you found usable in PTS please.

Anyone Able to help me with a basic template build to test would be greatly appreciated. Especially for Templar or Nightblade :)

PS. - if you don't want to write out an entire build but you know of a build somewhere on a another website please post the URL

you know pts is a test area`? meaning try out what you think is good, then try some variations and work out whats actually good... also report all strange things you find meanwhile

Just illustrating that its hard to test with no real idea for a direction to go in and would simply be open to any ideas or constructive analysis.

I have never played a VR14 till now and have never played DK or NB

But I would be very open to helping test along with commenting on helping other classes in the forums. And I am sure there are others in the same situation. (Never played a Class or Role and would like any ideas or guidance willing to be given.)

This patch is going live next week and testing from someone who has never played a class, while useful in some ways, is basically meaningless at this stage of the PTS. It is all fine tuning now.

If you just want to mess around with some template characters and want builds to start with you should head over to tamrielfoundry.com and check out each class forums. There are 1.6 builds for each class. Be aware that a lot are focused on group PVE which may not be the best for solo PVE and some are just bad, but at least it is a start.

PTS is a good place to experiment with class/build ideas.

Create a VR14 of each class and just check out all the classes abilities and their morphs. Play around with the Template gear and if you see something interesting go out and test it.

This will give you an overall better understanding of classes and how the game works.

    Things to keep in mind:
    What scales off of what.
    Major/Minor buffs and their duration.
Damage mitigation and what is needed for your playstyle.
Gear accessibility. There are some good gear sights that list the current gear.
    Your playstyle.

Crafted gear in general can be found pretty easily and its possible to get a geared good enough to handle nearly any situation. There is not a hug difference between armor quality so just upgrading to rare will be good enough until you know more. Then can upgrade future sets to epic/legendary. (I normally upgrade weapon to at least epic quality for extra damage).

Are people still Stacking Full Health in Stat Points for PVE? or are they now Doing the same as PVP primarily one stat Stamina or Magicka and a mix of a little HP?
