The OP strikes me as the type who labels the other guy's play as 'spamming skills' and his own as 'strategy' and then makes threads like these after dying.

The only skill that has is spammed over and over and effectively locking a character down was biting jabs. EXTREMELY annoying. BUT it's fixed in 1.6 and it happened very seldom during live anyways. If someone is spamming skills it is because they don't know how to play and are easily out witted and out played by a skilled player.

Well, this game only have 10 skill slots, 8 if you're using a toggle, 4-6 if you're a togglemancer or derp. There's no cooldowns. Entire combat system is essentially designed around spam.

How can anyone have space for multiple dps skills doing roughly the same thing? It's a mystery to me. More than half my bars in PvP are utility, self-sustained and survivability. Otherwise, I would need a pocket healer.

Than there's AoE and CC, need that to, because blobs will be blobbing.

You might also be "that guy" or girl...the one that wants to be all nice and can't say no. I'm often guilty, so make room for Purge, Retreating Manoeuvre, Necrotic Orb, heals and some more support. Eventually turning you into a defenceless synergy piñata.

That leaves a non-selfish player with roughly 0-1 free slot for something offensive and single target. So no wonder people are spamming the same skill over and over.

@eliisra I'm not sure, but I think the OP is about spamming abilities that are too powerfull. No one would care if someone were spamming an under powered ability

The spam of damage shields, which purge any bleeding effect (hope this one will be fixed, because it's nullifying many stamina abilities), the spam of surprize attacks, etc... may be a source of imbalance.

On 1.6, I wish it were a troll. Surprize attacks deals 6K to 10K per hit.
