I don't have the PTS open in front of me so just going on memory.
The Argonian racial passive, Nightblade passive, and alchemy passive that boost potions seem to have changed from a style that was like increase potency of potion by X% to something like when drinking a potion, restore 150 health, magicka, and stamina or give you ultimate.
I don't understand why the change here.
1) The % boost was scalable prior, if the new values are static that would just seem silly as to not grow with your progression. Ultimate gain and using potions also seems like a stretch.
2) By pidgeonholing the bonus to static restore/ult it takes away from the dynamic nature of potions and the dynamic pre 1.6 percentage potency bonus that could apply to various potions such as damage, crit, detection, restore, etc.
Part of the coolness of potions, and having a variety in the quickslots, is to be able to use different potions in different situations. The healthmagstam restore or plain ult gain on drink really kills that. With healthmagstam restore, there are plenty of situations where we don't need any or part of that and it's just a waste.
Why not keep it like it was so we benefit from the potions we want to use and for situations we want to use them in?
