If you intend to be more of a healer than a damage dealer, then five pieces of Seducer armor and three pieces of purple VR14 Healer jewelry is a good start.

5x Seducer + 2x Engine Guardian. Rest is up to you. You of course want a Resto staff, other weapon set can be 1H + Shield or Destro staff (the former is generally better, but if you really want Destro skills you can go with the latter no problem).

Come on. I didn't know what I was doing when I made my character. I thought my Templar was going to be a paladin-like tank and the Redguard racials looked good for that. It's also good for Bowplar.

And, stamina is always useful in AvA.

But yeah, if I were making a Templar healer from the start, I would probably go Breton or something else.

Options I've found to be most effective for a templar healer/support role in pvp:

2 piece Blood Spawn
5 piece Seducer
3 piece Healing thorn or 3 piece Soulshine

That's only possible with 1H+Shield or Dual Wield. If you could have a Warlock 1H or Shield this won't be a problem (since you don't need the Warlock effect all the time), but you can't; which means if you're on your Resto Staff you don't have access to the Seducer/Magnus effect.

You could heal out of 1H+Shield, but that means your heals are somewhat weaker and you can't use Grand Healing, which is often better than Breath of Life if you're healing a large group in PvP. Plus it limits the number of magicka-intensive skills you can use to one bar or you risk wasting more magicka than you save.

That said, Warlock is a fine set even if you don't have the 5-piece bonus.

The problem with Redguard is Adrenaline Rush only works with melee attacks, which means one less racial than most other races as a healer or bow DPS. The stamina bonuses are perfectly fine for a healer, really: stamina is super important in PvP no matter what role you play.
