Yes your survivability is very low as a WW in PvP. You're basically a glass cannon with a too small caliber. However you can kill a DK in 2 sec if he does not fight back. This you do by half loading a heavy attack to get speed boost on the light attacks and then do 4 light attacks. Rence and repeat if needed but he should die by then if he has a HP around 2500 (including any HP buffs).

But under no circumstances is this better then just spam Ring of Fire from the destruction staff skill line. Only real benefit here is if you do no happen to have a "rush" attack to hunt down blinking mages with, you can use the leap attack the WW has plus you get faster running speed.

That doesn't change the fact that werewolf is single most costly and single most useless ultimate in whole game.

If it was not so we wouldn't be here asking for changes in the first place. There are more threads about werewolf buffs/revamps then there are of any other individual skill line.

But still we don't get updates in 1.3. With the phrase "very soon" from the Quakecon, he seems to mean "somewhere this fall".

Well when developers talk about "very soon" my experience is that it usually means around 6 months.

That is true and a really good point. But when doing so IMO its important not to exaggerate just to try to make a point. You need to have a balanced few of what the WW could be in the game environment we play in and it should work both for PvE and PvP. For an example: Demanding that the WW should be as strong as the vampires was in PvP during the first 3-4 weeks before they got hit by the nerf bat is unrealistic.

So I agree with all on that it needs reduced ultimate cost with maybe even up to 50%. The survivability in WW form needs to be better. And I don't think that we should just get more armor or what ever. We need some new WW skills we can use on our "3rd bar" to help us survive a bit longer or just buff the WW fear "Roar" so it last a bit longer and cant be ignored by any CC immunity. Of course you should still be able to CC brake it with stamina. The leap skill "Pounce" could be as is now. But also add a 3rd active skill that is a melee ranged 180° degree cone knock back uppercut attack that KO the target for 3 sec. The morphed versions might be a 360° AOE KB or adds a bleed effect.

PS: An other way to keep WW ultimate cost as is but add a new skill called "grab". This enables you to take up and humanoid NPC or player and wield him or her as a weapon for 6 seconds doing 500 damage heavy attacks and 200 light attacks to the person that is used as a weapon and 80% of that damage to the person that is hit by the "living weapon" . This would be cool enough I think for every one to just use it for that reason alone.

Seriously @warraxx did you really think they would rush a revamp of the werewolf into the 1.3 patch because some one started a thread about it? In no way shape or form did anyone hint that a change would come on 1.3

Think we can at earliest expect one for 1.5

I'm a werewolf and will swap over to vampire to get the color achievement unlock... then probably swap back.

There just isn't enough of a reason for me to stay/use werewolf at this point. I love it more than vampire, but it simply isn't fun/enjoyable enough.

Many of the comments here look nice... particularly running on all fours, and having a bit more usefulness all the time rather than just with an ultimate.

Just in case you missed it, WW gets ignored again in update 4 and still sucks uber ball sack:

Whatever do you mean? They buffed werewolves in 1.4!

Think what you want... but anyone with common sense would come to the conclusion that if you pick WW over Vamp skill lines you are horribly shafted. Thus forcing you down one specific path. People can be upset by this, the game is "forcing" you to pick one over the other or experience miserable game play.

The game isn't forcing you to be a vampire.... It's just penalizing you for being a WW, currently.

I'm pretty sure that you can still choose to just not be some kind of supernatural creature.

Or you could be neither a vamp or a WW, I know that's crazy but it's a choice that many players make. I also agree WW needs to be revamped or heavily tweaked, that does not excuse some of the general rudeness towards the devs some of the comments in this thread contain though. That is the sickening part.

The point here is, no one understands why it is so hard to get Phase 1 of the promised Werewolf changes live.
I mean it cant be that complicated to change some values of the skills (ultimate costs, duration, stamina costs).
Or give at least some feedback would be sufficient to let the players know that they do care for it.
That phase 2 with the complete revamp (which IS necessary) will take longer is clear, as designing new active skills for the bar and new passives and more does need some serious developing time, btw the "asap" phase 1 shouldnt take that long.

Make werewolves immune to batswarm. You'll fix the PvP Vampire batswarm issue, and werewolves will now be worthwhile.

I mean both are broken... so why not.

Especially with the Dragonstar Arena throwing the Fighters Guild at players. 10+ mobs all using Silver Shards, and even Dawnbreaker?

Anyone that wants to do that PvE content will have to stop being a WW/VP anyways.

What does it take for people to realise that ZOS simply don't care about these werewolf issues?

Month after month people complain about no changes... exerting huge energy over something that ZOS simply do not care about.

If they cared, they would have done something about it.

    They haven't.

    It's as simple as that.

Making ww viable is about the last thing they care about at this point...way too much other *** that is broken and not working...like DOORS?!, MUNDUS STONES, TRAITS, STAMINA BUILDS, LAGGY AS HELL CYRODIIL, GROUPING, VR RANKS just to name a few. I quit ww long ago and went vamp..even on my STAM build toon..how sad is that? haha
Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

Isn't it obvious by now that ww is where the designers want it to be? I assume they must want it to be a RP option, not a competitive combat option.

Ultimately, it's players choice whether they want to RP as a weakwolf or not.

With RP what skills your character has in game does not matter. Many people do not pick up vampire even though they are one in RP due to the horrid change in the way their toon looks. Similarly, you can be a were in character and not in game. If they did it for RP it would just go to show how little they understand the community. Sadly I do not even think that is the case, I think they added it because it is an Elder Scrolls staple, heard the outrage over all the issues with vamp, and dug their heads into the sand out of fear to fix weres.

Not only one team is working on the game. The recent announce about the additional WW skills prove that they listen to their community. Stamina players will have their transfo, as magicka players currently have with the vampire.
