To which race should I switch my damage dealer stam Dragon Knight in August with Barbershop?

Hallo guys,

with Barbershop and race change comming in August I would like to ask you for your advices and arguments, to which race would be the best option to swich to, to increase my stats the most.

I usually play PVE, but lately I tried also some PVP (I am very bad in it yet though)

This is my build:

I am running my stam DK, damage dealer (DD, DPS)with this build:

I wear 5 pieces Hunding`s range, 3 pieces Nightmother`s gaze, 3 pieces Ravager (jewelry)(I need Agility robust jewelry, but no money for that yet), 2 x max health enchant, rest max stam enchant, weapons poison damage enchant and fire damage enchant

armor all divines or infused, weapons sharpened, precise, jewelry, weapon damage enchant

max health with food: around 21000
max stam with food: around 23000 (I use max stam + max health food)
weapon damage with rally, 2H 2900, 49 % crit, bow 2600, crit also around 50 %
Mundus stone: warrior

My build:

2H: main bar
Rally
Wrecking Blow
Crit Rush
Executioner
Venomous Claws
Ulti: Werewolf

Bow:
Green Dragon Blood (I need to do more PVP to get Vigor, I know

)
Poison Injection
Bombard (for PVP I may switch to Fossilise)
Rapid Maneuver
Igneous Shield

Ulti: Ferocious Leap (for PVP I may switch to Corrosive Armor)

CPs, mostly Mighty, Medium Armor expert, Mooncalf, Warlord, Sword expert (or how it is called)

But I am Altmer, female, because she looks hot, but I did not know at the beginning, that they are mag buffed race. But I like stam, so I want some stam race to change her with barbershop in August. Which race should I switch to to increase my stats (orcs excluded)?

I read here, that the best stam race is Redguard or Khajiit, but I want to hear also other opinions or experiences

Any advice is highly appreciated and will be rewarded with 10 free sweet rolls in the nearest bank

Best stamina Dragon Knight races in my opinion.
1. Imperial
2.Orc
3. Redguard
If you have to pick from AD races Wood Elf.
If you have to pick from EP races Dark Elf.

Best stamina races in my opinion (From running stamina DK since PC after Mag DK got wrecked and I tested races afterwards).

1. Red Guard
2. Orc
3. Imperial

Now with that build man you're going to last not even 3 minutes in a fight I suggest you get some regen because you're gonna need it.

My build allows me to use 2 different foods which one gives me even more damage but sustain is good enough I can survive a 1vX situation while the other is optimal at surviving 1vX situations at the cost of more damage.

For a solid do anything with race (pvp or pve) go with redguard for sure.

Redguard offers the best sustain and gives you a max Stam resource passive which correlates into more damage from all your Stam and ulti abilities. You also get the adrenaline passive which allows you to run relatively low regen so you can focus more on damage.

Khajitt is best though from a pure dps standpoint though obviously.

Orc and imperial just allow you to run really specific builds well. But the only you listed seems to benefit from red guard the most.

Redguard is almost univerally the best choice for stam build. After them I actually prefer imperial but bosmer is not bad either, isn't Khajiit racial bonus bugged?

Redguard for sustain, Imperial for more survivability and build flexibility (which are both seriously undervalued in ESO) and Orc for a middle-ground of the two with some good extra melee damage mixed in.

I think the barber shop is the worst thing ever to happen to Dunmers. Before DB you picked the race for a change from stam to magicka while keeping the extra flame dmg. Then, that option got nerfed with the poison knight (no stam based flame knight anymore), so the flavor was the capacity for going from mag to stam through respec. With the barber shop it will be possible to go from an Altmer or Breton to an Orc or Redguard. Then, what will be the point of being a dark elf? Just a magicka based flame staff guy?

The only think that could save that race is the possibility hybrid builds.

Are people going to be able to cross alliance race change without the explorer pack? If so, the Z would be making the explorer pack moot.

The answers depends on what you are doing:

Khajiit with the crit bonus will give you the most DPS in a trial setting in PVE.

Redguard is the best combo of DPS and Sustain. Probably the best all around option but less total DPS than Khajiit if going straight glass cannon.

Imperial is the same damage as redguard. Their sustain will be lower, but they will have more health so they arguably have a little more survivability.

Wood Elf is the best straight sustain, but they really don't get anything to boost their damage in PVE. Not ideal unless pure PVP build.

I would say redguard unless trying to Min/max for trials, in which case, Khajiit is the answer.

If you want a hot elf chick then choose Bosmer ( good stam regen and with green dragon blood, you will be able to infinite dodgeroll)
Otherwise go for redguard/imperial.

I remember reading somewhere here on the forum that the khajiit passive is fixed already

honestly
imperial is the best bc you have to buy it

AD: khajiit
wood elves can work but the passives are wasted for stealth +low max stam while the crit can crit heal you on a khajiit and works great for pve and pvp even tho impen is everywhere
EP: Nord
avoid this if you can

dmg+tanky passives
