People are going to buy the merchant thinking she repairs gear. "Jolly good! I'm going to save a life-time worth of repair kits! How convenient!"
And then they try to make her repair their gear, and she doesn't have that option. Bug report: "Merchant assistant missing the repair option". Forum thread: "WTF ZOS FIX THE MERCHANT ASSISTANT".
This is going to happen the minute these assistants are introduced, I guarantee it.Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

5000 crowns for an NPC assistant is way too excessive a price. Even 2500 would be way too much.
This is completely irrelevant to this thread, but I just wanted say that you, Arthmoor, are one of my favorite modders of the TES series, going back Alternative Beginnings and Cyrodiil Travel Service for Oblivion.

Actually @Vorcil you can't. Finishing the TG quests gives you the smuggler assistant. The banker assistant and merchant assistant are Crown Store only.You can actually get them for free if you finish the thieves guild quests ... lol

As a comparison, I bought Terraria for $2 on a Steam sale and got about 200 hours enjoyment out of it. $50 for an in-game item shows actual contempt for their customers. Focus on the 1% of obsessives who would buy a dog dropping if you slapped an ESO sticker on it, who cares about the rest. This is what I was afraid of with the move to B2P. Gordon Gekko's taking the helm and steering the good ship ESO to Cashshopville. Worst part is, there are suckers who will willingly encourage this kind of thing, which is bad for the game and a blight on the gaming industry in general. -

[GW2 tier] <comparison to ESO tier> *note that fine tier is actually blue in GW2 and masterwork is green. Rare is gold and exotic is orange. Ascended is magenta and legendary is purple.

Trader and bankers that don't repair your gear for 5000 crowns. Uh, no thanks. They should sell you high end gear at a discount, repair your stuff and fight at your side while puking crowns for you to collect for that price.
Of course that won't happen. What we really need is more inventory and bank space for crying out loud and no I don't mean for 1000 crowns a pop. Proper earned space for all the stuff Z keep bringing out. Us non sub peasants may not get crafting bags so we should get moar space for our stuff darnit!

If your broke: you really want it?, get a job to pay for it. You could also ask your parents for a loan.
