We really need an expansion on what we're able to do with our player housing. As it stands right now, player housing is really just glorified trophy storage and it would be nice if there was more to "do" with this aspect of the game.
- more "assistants"
- - a housecarl you can send out on housing related quests (pay gold to farm materials, find new diagrams, etc) -- SWTOR also does a great job with this in their companions system. You can send your companions on jobs and they come back to you after a few hours/days/whatever with the results.
- - a bard to provide non music-box music/ambiance
- ability to place weapons and armor either freely or on display with a mannequin or plaque
- ability to plant and farm reagents or vegetables - you can implement a cooldown on these to ensure there isn't any abuse
- - would also be cool to be able to have other resource nodes (ie: ore, etc) with similar cooldowns
- - - can I also mention, off-side, we really need some kind of ground, dirt or soil "furnishing" - it sucks how often I have to plant flora in concrete.
- ability to sleep in a bed to gain basically a "well rested" buff. Maybe with a once a day cooldown? Buff can be different depending on the type of bed you have (ie: boosted xp, boosted stamina, etc.)
Finally, this was not in Heartfire, but I'd really love to see a "snap to" function in the housing editor mode. I'm thinking less about surface drag alignment and more about - say if I had several of the stone blocks that you can purchase from the home goods furnisher - it would be great if these similar items could snap together in order to make creating a cohesive unit a much easier process. Right now it's a lot of eyeballing to figure out if you've got a block aligned properly with the block you're attaching it to. Would save a ton of time.
