hot fix for dungeon finder you say?

is anyone at Bethesda or zenimax able to explain to us, your paycheck, how you guys visualize the concept of hotfix or patch to fix things that are broken?

    You've been queued for six minutes as DPS... that's barely any time at all. Now, if you were a tank or healer waiting 30+ minutes, which other people have, that's a problem.

    The estimated time is kind of a crapshoot. I've had it say "Estimated: > 1 hour" and pop in 10 minutes.

    I did not get one group this weekend on activity finder (Xbox-one NA Queued as a Tank). I was queued for over 3 hours on Sunday and never saw one group for the Vet daily. I tried Random, and still nothing. I would assume that some people are probably having it be successful after the last fix, but I bet most will not see a change until the next fix.

    Yeah, I referred to that in the second part of my post. I never trust the estimated time.

    As DPS you're honestly better off just asking in zone if you're doing pledges. They can't exactly fix the overabundance of DPS compared to tanks or healers.

    But tanks are boring. So NBs get the laugh in the long-run. ;)

    ep1 im 417 and even zone chat doesnt advertise much i dont care about monster set i leave the elitism to kids i like my crit build. also 25 minutes now.

    by the way i did try earlyer on my temp heal 1h hour no group also a 417 cp

    tanking sucks in eso anyways. no aggro generation just taunts,

    healer pulls a heal between 2 taunt and die due to aggro steal.

    30 minutes now and no silver queues being advertised or queues proc for normal dungeons

    [EDIT] doesnt mean that i'll be Lucky when it procs because theres also the group to disband after proc trend that is making grouping via dungeon finder a pina in the dev. because with the 15 minute penalty when a group disbands after proccing you can kiss your queu good bye. another great adding to the long list of TESO broken things. 35 minutes at the time of the edit

    Taunts are set on a 15 second rotation. So as long as the tank taunts before the timer expires the healer will never aggro the boss no matter how many heals he throws. This system if done correctly by the player guarantees that the healer will never see aggro. The only time this would not be the case is the City of Ash boss that will attack other players if you taunt within 3 seconds of the previous taunt.

    ZOS failed at making tanks interesting and rewarding to play... thats pretty much the issue here.
    P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.

    They are, but tanking in ESO isn't about eating all of the enemies' attacks. The DPS should be dealing with trash while the tank deals with bosses or big pulls (like the enemies with a cleave that will probably kill the DPS).

    I like tanking, but it looks like a "passive" thing to be doing on the surface (even though it really isn't) and I think that turns a lot of people off.

    I do wish that the group finder would sometimes throw 3 DPS in the dungeon if they've been waiting a long time, though. If you're good you don't require a tank for most content, but it certainly makes it easier on less experienced players.

    You can taunt as many targets as you like, there's no limit on how many you can hit it with; also, you should be doing this test with either a tank or healer. DPS queues have always been long, its normal to be waiting 2+ hours for it to pop based on how grossly over-abundant DPS are in this game, or any MMO for that matter.

    Queing in as a tank does not seem to impact que times at all, and getting into a group is only half the battle.

    Grouping with someone else always reduces the queue times, regardless of who you're grouped with. I can't exactly look at the code but I'm pretty certain it prioritizes partially-made groups over solo queuing. So even as a team of 2 DPS, you'll get in a group faster than two DPS queuing separately.

    But yeah, DB queue times have been kind of whack across the board. It's not as big of a deal with DPS, though, since they've always had long queue times, is what they were saying.

    Nope, the tanks and healers are just as frustrated as the dps because they too are waiting >1 hr to get placed in a group. Even the dps who mark heal + tank are waiting >1 hr.

    On top of all that, even if you bother to waste your time by remaining in the queue, there is another bug where the group is disbanded as soon as it's formed. That triggers the 15 minute cooldown, even through the group was disbanded through no action of the individual players. Look forward to your next >1 hr wait.

    Zos really couldn't make the group finder tool worse if they were actively trying to do so (maybe they are - it's hard to believe it's this difficult to fix it).

    Easy solution to this other than just typing "LFM vet gold" in your zone chat. ZoS could make a check box called "Accept non-ideal group configuration" that would match anyone looking for a group with anyone else looking for a group regardless of roles selected. Assuming the matching system isn't just broken, this would let 4 dps be quickly matched for dungeons.

    I got a group on my lvl 37 templar, as DPS, in under a minute. Fresh group.

    I think the solution might be making it easy enough where any group can complete the dungeon. For example, make it where 4 DPS players can group together without having to worry about if they have tank or a healer.
