Did the newest update break the sounds of footsteps when running on mounts?

Or am I just crazy and hard of hearing?

There's either no footsteps or the quietest footsteps I've ever heard now for seemingly all mounts.

*it only happens on the heavyweight mounts for me.

I've checked it on horses, guars, camels, heavyweights, bears, wolves, deers, rams, nix-oxen, dwarven spiders, etc but they're either non-existent or super duper quiet. Some will still have walking speed footsteps (such as guar) but others have nothing. Some will still have the sounds the mount itself makes while moving (such as nix-oxen/dwemer spiders) but the footsteps themselves are missing. It's a real grab bag.

Can you let me know what mount you have been using? Just trying to rule out if this is a problem with a specific mount.

ALL mounts from the previously called "heavyweight" category have no footstep sound (Bears, Ursauks, Welwas, Quasigriffs).

Just wanted to follow up here. The team is now aware of heavyweight, pony, guar, and bear mounts having this issue. We are working on a fix now. No eta at the moment. But this is known.

Weleas as well doesnt have sound, im using Dremnaken Wrathsteed which have the problem

Looks like we will be waiting 2 more weeks until the fix gets implemented..

If any of you can make an addon, or post the instructions for making our own, that increases the footstep sound of the "heavyweight" and "guar & kagoutis" mounts that would be super helpful.

Maybe @Dack_Janiels can come to the rescue again?

Unfortunately not this time. Mount/Ability SFX are not something addons can modify. Sorry 😞

Yep. It's all mounts.
Heavyweights are completely silent, but the rest of the mounts are quiet. (Even with the footsteps audio setting cranked all the way to 100)

On my mounts that have bells, such as the Dark Delirium Senche and the Winter Garland Dapple Gray horse, I can hear the bells jingling clear as a bell (pun intended, hehe) but I can barely hear any footsteps. The mount sounds play while running like the Dwarven Spiders clankiness/the Nix-Oxens gross buggy bug sounds, the loud jingly jangle of bells as I mentioned, and even the clinking of buckles and clasps make their sounds just fine but the footsteps themselves sound quiet almost muffled.

The clip clop of hooves from horses and the heavy stomps of bears and such are really quiet compared to how they were just before the update. I liked hearing them as it gave all of the mounts actual weight to their running.

I'm having the same problem. I thought I had pressed the wrong key (or key combination) and disabled the mount's footsteps sound. Is it possible that some add-on could reactivate the sound?

I decided to just swap out the bugged mounts on my characters for ones that at least have sound. Although all of them were matched with their costume and pet

Can't stand immersion breaking bugs like these.
