Like I just want a good way to hurt tanks now that you’re buffing healing by 10% for everyone.

I’m suggesting major - 20%

And minor - 10%

It’s not much but it’s honestly better.

It’s no surprise I main WW but I just cannot make this good anymore. I have tried over and over for years and it’s really the only reason I got into ESO and it has slowly been fading over the years.

Like even buffing the major defile time to 10 seconds now that it’s in the ground would be helpful.

I’m a paying Customer here and as much and as many people who might not like my play style exists, there are just as many thinking what I’m thinking in regards to this.

Like I’m trying you all! I don’t know what else to say here!

I agree, any lower than 20% and you can just take the word "major" off of there

I'd make a suggestion that ZOS could also buff Oblivion Damage, but there tends to be a sore spot with that subject.

All this does is help the LA spammers in PvE and in the back of zergs in PvP take a little less damage and be a little closer to those who can actually both apply and make use of those buffs.

On a side note, even tho it probably wasn't their intent, it helps to reduce the gap between the DLC classes, which are overloaded with buffs and debuffs, and the original ones. So I'm all for it in theory.
However, they should really adjust the accessibility and duration now that they nerfed their impact + take a hard look on unnamed de/buffs. Ironically, they only partly did the former with their newest paid class.
We'll have to wait and see.

I think physical and magical dots should ignore resistances like old bleeds.
Why? These damage types have no status effects they can proc, and would be a good way to use them aganist tanks.
Wouldn't have any impact on pve, since you already debuff bosses armor to the max there.
And yes defiles are going to be too weak next patch, not sure how Zos wants ppl to deal with 40-50k hp stamden proctanks(with actual kill potential).
And Arctic blast needs to be reigned in, the skill has been ridiculous for a while now.

You need to be more specific than just saying, "They." Many Magicka builds actually have terrible self healing in no-CP right now. I had a recent BG match where one of the opposing teams had two Stamina Necromancers, which lead to AOE Major Defile being everywhere. In most of the engagements that game, my Resistant Flesh (a "burst" heal akin to Templar's Honor the Dead/Breath of Life) was mostly healing for 2.2k. Given that Stamina-Blastbones alone frequently hits for 6k+, my healing was basically worthless.

    Why?

If every class has major defile, why shouldn't every class also have major breech, major sorcery, major brutality, major prophecy, etc.?

Major Defile is meaningless in PvE, but is the single most powerful PvP debuff there is. Having it be attached to an AOE burst damage ability that can hit quite hard (I routinely had it hit me harder than the Magicka counterpart, even as a Stage 4 Vampire) is already too strong. The least they could do is give everyone else access to the same debuff, especially since it wouldn't rustle any PvE feathers.

Secondly, every class does in fact have access to Major Sorcery, Major Brutality, and several other crucial buffs. They might not exist within the class toolkit, but there are generic options available. While I don't like the fact that Degeneration is overall a garbage ability, it's still better than simply not having access to the buff at all.

When you have something as powerful as the current iteration of Major Defile, everyone needs access to it. Either that, or those few who have it available need to have significantly weaker damage, or survivability, or mobility, etc...Which would cause a significant uproar, especially among the PvE crowd that would be up in arms over PvP affecting their target dummy parses.

only if they remove major defile from abilities like blastbones. the disparity between those who have easy access to a defile and those who don't is too high with 20-30% on major defile.

That should have always been minor defile. I think that was probably the worse offender of major defile. You give up nothing and got a body blocking major burst AOE that tracks enemies (and mega snares too, test it), and also put major defile (something that, on a necro, you where already going to run, at least on a stam toon).

No, Defiles are overcentralizing and have always impacted PvP a lot more than most other debuffs as defile was spread way throughout the skill lines.

Defiles remove a huge part of your need for offensive investment simply by having access to the debuff, you can build a lot more survivability if your class has access to useable major defile like stamnecro does because it will carry your offence vs everyone except for magsorcs who aren't directly affected due to shields but will fail to ever kill you as you build more tanky.

Them finally nerfing defile is the best thing they've done this whole patch.
The only specs that go from 0-100 with their own skills are warden with Arctic blast or WW with an even more broken version of an HP scaling heal.
All other classes have to rely on people not stepping out of a crimson proc if they actually want to go to full health in one gcd.

Wut? Talking self heals here, right? Vigor + Rally is top notch healing. Throw some blocking or dodging in the mix. Tanks go with health scaling heals anyway. Usually it's magicka who has to pray that their healing stick heal really goes to them and not to some random 28m away. Some class heals don't even scale with any resource at all. Just because you have more option doesn't mean you have a "better" assortment.

Rapid regen plus class heals are the same thing but you can use it on teammates, and use a special weapon that give you quite a bit of the cost back on it.
