[BUG] PC v2.4.6 Vicecanon Leeching Effect, "Deadly Venom", Disrupts Crouching

Just what the title says. I posted this https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/270227/vicecannon-hot-deadly-venom-prevents-returning-to-crouch#latest on the forums because I was unaware that it was a bug. But now I am convinced it must be a bug.

You cant crouch while in combat. I fail to see the issue.

Not a bug just a terribly designed set, crouching while in combat was removed a while ago.

it's a first hit armour set..crouch and shoot an arrow in their knee

That's not a bug, and it happens because of the DoT.

Any outgoing source of damage will pull you from stealth and crouch (not the same as invisibility).

It is a bug, your own DoTs should not pull you out of stealths.

this is a great demonstration of what happens with this set...thx for sharing

a though springs to mind then is that perhaps this set is deliberately made this way so that you cannot stay crouched for the whole fight and get the proc all the time

You cannot procure this set simultaneously multiple times. Once it procs, it lasts 15 seconds. If you proc it again (which I do in the video clips), the 15-second duration resets and starts over again.

Can you still stealth and infect different targets and have them all going at the same time, this was the case in the ptr but this set has since changed, if this is not the case anymore this set is now worthless to me and my hopes and dreams are effectively crushed lol

I'm torn on whether I should put this on my nightblade or not. If 1v1 I think its a fine set since you dont need to crouch and go hidden but in a group fight it would be beneficial if you want to re position your self for another attack. Does it also pull you out of Cloak?

I've been hit with this and had the DoT on me for over 60 seconds, even though the guy who put it on me had died. I was on a stamplar and couldn't cleanse the dot off me.

The proc should have a cooldown the length of the DoT, and should let you still go in stealth. That way you can't keep reapplying it over and over again, but you can also get away if need be.

No. It will not pull you out of cloak. I still use this set because it is incredible in 1v1/1v2 situations (especially for ganking). I enchant my gear with tri-stat glyphs and eat tri-stat food to increase my magicka for more cloaks. That's the only way this works since there is no use pressing your crouch key because of this bug.

Vicecannon DoT can be shown in the video below breaking Nightblades cloak. There are mulitple things still breaking cloak. I thought i'd put this out there just because Vicecannon is breaking crouch as well as cloak. I'd like to get this crouch bug and all the other cloak bugs fixed as well.

It does pull you out of cloak, at least on the PS4. I started to use it on my nightblade and I loved it, almost perfect archery set. However it pulls you out of cloak for 10 seconds plus, really makes it not very viable for me.

Use Sheer Venom instead if you have it and are using a bow (procs on Injection), a fair bit more damage.

Wow. That sucks. I have not experienced the Vicecanon effect pull me out of cloak just yet. But it is clear in your video. I posted this issue in the forums well over a month ago. There have been a handful of patches and hotfixes since then. Do the developers know about this bug? Is it "working as intended"? Or do they just not care?

Its a nice set... This set is like made for stam nb, but if someone using malubet (which most of people has) its almost like it will proc malubet 100% of the time.

I also noticed that you can re apply or refresh the vice cannon dot by just going cloaked again with you not needing to hit them again from cloak.. And i also dont have problem with it pulling me out of cloaked when it proce but maybe its just me not paying attention... If it does then devs really need to look at this set.

Not only that it keeps you locked in combat after u die and rez in cyrodil whether the dot is going or not for 1 min after u rez. WTG zos!!
