@ZOS_GinaBruno , please bring this to whom needs to know.

The scroll combat text is a step in the right direction but it needs refinement.

As it is right now it just splashes numbers to give you an idea what kind of damage you are doing, this isn't enough.

There is no way to differentiate between what abilities caused the damage or what type of damage they are inflecting.

SO here are some suggestions.

- Put the skill icon or skill name beside the damage it delivered.
- Color code the damage types please, like red for flame, white for physical, green for poison, yellow for disease, aqua for frost, blue for magic and maybe purple for shock.. you get the idea.. right now everything is just the same color.
- have an option for having the text persist a bit longer on screen, it's there and then gone in under 1s.
- Clean up the numbers, if i aoe 6 mobs it's a splash of numbers and i can't read ***.. maybe convert this to ABILITY 1234 dmg (x6)

    They do have color coding on the damage, tbh. I've seen orange for what looks like my fire dmg enchants and they also have green for poison and some kind of red hue for crits.

    I used an addon that gave me the flying numbers and I have to say most of the information was useless as it moved so quickly. I could gain some kind of idea of what I was getting for each skill, but until I used a Combat Log addon and could go back and look at it after the battle when I had a moment to analyze what I was seeing, the information was not all that useful. Now I don't use the flying numbers anymore.

    So, my suggestion would be to add a combat log type of function that could be pulled up after (or during the battle if you want) for more detailed analysis.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Floating combat text is awesome.
    I'll still use FTC just for the DPS meter and damage recap.
    But I like this new change, and I don't need to use combat cloud anymore.

    Please allow us to modify the font size of the combat text. Different colors for damage type would be appreciated as mentioned above. Also as someone else mentioned, grouping some of the ticks and AOE damage into one number would be welcome.

    Aye, why wouldn't it be? Been using it since it became available and it gets frequent updates. I find it a lot more comfortable and it's much more customisable than most other addons as it is specifically designed for combat text and states only.
    It's very accurate, easy to read, customisable in terms of how fast or slow the text shows, all colours, fonts, sizes, location and direction of the numbers etc. Wouldn't swap it for anything else atm.

    Jepp, this. If this was done the SCT would be used by me, atm im using combat cloud instead becasue I can color the different dmg types, IE lightblue for shock dmg etc..

    Not that impressive. Not bad for a beta but needs significant improvement, particularly a way of seeing which skill is causing the damage and a damage recap so you can track DPS.

    It's interesting that the SCT actually outputs from the target. I was able to see which way my target was moving behind a rock because of a DoT.

    It's incredibly superior to anything that was able to be done in addons due to the text existing "within" the 3D space. I can see which things I'm doing damage to with AoEs or which single target in a zerg I'm actually hitting, I think the numbers over each enemies head is fine.

    It is a bit confusing differentiating between DoT damage, regular damage, shield damage, etc, so there could be a bit more visual feedback on that end.

    I actually like this style of SCT rather than the screen destroying clutter of information most addons give you. I would prefer a little more functionality and inf from it, but this is a good step in the right direction.

    Likewise. I like the Presentation more than FTC, although I don't use the Attribute Bars. To each his own.

    All i want is health NUMBERS on NPC's health bars with a %...

    Skill 1 says does more damage when npc has <50% health. With the illogical way the health depletes inwards, it's an awful system of guesswork for when to start the execute.

    I'm on PS4 btw so no, i cant use add-ons.

    F*&# realism or immersion, give me usable information to play your game.

    And while I'm on the "I want, I want" train, i want it sooner than 3 patches from now!!!

    I want buff timers and a percentages on health bars more than anything on console.
