That sounds like successful mob design to me.
I've always appreciated that in the ES games. There were some mobs that I would avoid if given the chance at all. Like the Falmer and their little bugs in Skyrim.

Just discovered Snapleg Cave in the Rift. Went in, saw a wisp and I was like "nope".

Holy S***, Don't remind me.. now THEY were the worst.

Taleof2Cities wrote: »Well if you played Morrowind then surely you know what Cliffracers are ... THOSE were annoying.
My ESO characters have already placed an adventuring and exploration embargo on any new DLC where said creatures inhabit.

Hmm...I wish wisps dropped those. Seems like the only thing i ever get is ectoplasm (or elemental essence, can't remember)Huh, I thought this was going to be a thread about how it seems like every time you kill a wisp it turns out that wisp was carrying a staff or a greatsword. WHERE?!? Where were they carrying it?
Really? I mean i get elemental essence too, but it seems like I'm much, much more likely to get drops of various two-handed weapons from them. In fact, I don't think I've ever had a piece of equipment drop from a wisp that wasn't a two-handed weapon of some sort. Daggers I could maybe understand, or even boots, but where the hell are they putting all of these massive weapons?ShadowMage wrote: »Hmm...I wish wisps dropped those. Making the most annoying unit is succesful mob design to you..? I'd rather not play any games you design then.

Well, I just think that a game that has a few mobs that you dread fighting is a good thing. If every time you saw a mob the reaction was the same, that would get boring. If you have mobs that are relatively straighforward and others that you'd rather avoid, that ads variety.
