Yep. Welcome to ESO. Just a couple hours ago an old guild master felt the need to tell zone chat that he kicked kicked me because I'm gay. Knowing him he's going to try finding out my current guilds and try to convince them to kick me too.
Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. I wish more people learned this valuable lesson.
Speaking from the perspective of someone employed for years in the mental health field, this is not accurate, and it is often used to defend bullying.
That being said, I think reporting was appropriate. I think the support shown by many here in the community is appropriate, and I especially appreciated suggestions to derail things.
I have a dear friend who, unless she is grouped with friends, goes "invisible" online so that no one can chat or annoy her, because it literally happens every darn time.
I'm looking at both submitted parses and .... all of yours "if you can call it rotation" is still STILL miles above what an average player would do. could do. you are using highly expensive foods and popping a potion (I saw that major intellect buff in there), casually to attack the dummy. I'm not 100% sure where ALL of those buffs are coming from but as uptime is 100% on minor buffs, its some kind of passive... and major buff uptimes are 95%.. that means you are freaking BEAST about making sure they stay up, which tells me that so called rotation is MUCH tighter then you think.
personal experience. I play Division 2 casually, with SO. we duo stuff and whenever you finish a mission, it gives you a mission report. my accuracy has never gone above 40% and even that is rare, typically my accuracy is 30% (as in how many times I hit targets vs missing them) this btw, includes my pets so to speak, as I tend to play skill (aka pet) builds due to my issues with personal accuracy and pets hit 100% of the time. so my personal accuracy is actualy lower. and its not that I'm not trying to hit my targets - i AM. I'm doing my darndest. I miss anyways.
why do I bring this up? because like Division - ESO does not have a sticky target. you know target you can select and now every ability will HIT that target even if you are not facing them perfectly. and before you say anything about hitboxes in ESO being pretty big... not that big. especially when you are moving. in ESO, I tend to overwhelmingly prefer AoE builds, because AoE alleviates at least some of the issues with missing my target (it does nothing for light attacks, but at least its SOME damage that is easier for me to land). but AoE is constantly getting nerfed.
if you stand in bad - you die or get hurt and its bad. if you move - targeting becomes harder. if the boss moves or mobs move - there go targeting issues again. when you are moving and/or adjusting in some way - your dps drops, because multitasking can be difficult, especially if you are not constantly practicing it. both your mind AND your fingers have to multitask and do it quickly.
just because its easier for you, doesn't mean its as easy or even close to being as easy for other people.
The idea of 1 vs X is very simple:
1) You never fight with those, who play beter than you.
2) You look for good players in enemy group, and run from them.
Wait when some new players try to strike you and try to one shot them. Always run from good players and kill weak first.
Than try to kill good one 1 on 1, or run, untill friends come to help to outnumber him.
1 vs X is not that 1 kill X good fighters.
In reality it is impossible to fight against 2 good players if you are alone.
3) So we have 1 - 2 good players and 3-4 weak as example.
There are skills that heal more or strike more if they hit a lot of targets, you use them. So you charge your heal and damage with this 4 weak players, and always run.
Weak players will try to controll you, so it will be hard for good one make one shot combo, they can not stun you, when they need it.
4) Newer fight in field, always run near some stone, wall, tree 🎄 and etc.
About sets:
You get 1 protective set, that heals or regens you, and 1 proc set, that makes your attack do a lot of dps in small window.
It is hard to kill you, because you are fat, you regen when you run.
And when your dps window is ready, you try to kill enemy with ultimate as examle in this small window. Than run again.
I am not 1 vs X
Just as example, my build heals 4 k hp per second.
I do not use one shot combo, but i can do 5-7 k dps in standing target.
So if it will be 2 like me, we kill enemy in 2 - 3seconds (1 dethink = dead) It is not possible to fight 2 players like that
If you run, we can not do dps, so you heal more than we dps.
If you run near some stone asexample, we get lugs - so we can not hit you.
We try to use attack, server or ping is not perfect, so attack do not land, you run, we can not hit, becouse skills do not work. You get full HP, and try to one shot us.
If you do it is ok.
If you do not, run again.
Some builds is impossible to kill 1 on 1, so you run, untill you outnumber them
A lot of players will not run near stone (they know how, but they will not).
So they choose to die, not run vs X isabout to kill new players, not some good group.
The only one 1 vs X that can kill group is Mana bomber.
They use low level players to acamulate dps.
As example:
Group 6 players, 2 are good and 4 with low level.
You use sets that give you dps in small window as example:
Mechanikal Accuty, balorgh, some + to crit or dps and vicious death set.
You are in full dps mode and buffs.
In 5 seconds all your attacks are crits and do 1,5 dps of base.
Mana bomb that will hit 1 player in normal condition will do:
2 k damage, with all buffs and proc sets active 4 k damage.
With 5 more people 8 k damage.
You use it + ultimate (damage+ stun)+ some hard hitting strike.
24 k dps in me. But a lot of players are not as tanky.
And for them it will be 30 k as example.
If he die near me he deals me damage as example 5k. If 2 low level players die, 10 k dps from them will kill me.
So all 6 peoples are dead.
Low level players like to stuck on players, that they think are strong.
It makes them feel save.
So you kill the stronger one with them
The setslike this are: Azur blight, Vicious death, Dragonstar 2 handed and etc.
It's also worth trying to derail the zone chat by bringing up other topics—the kind of thing loads of random people love to respond to, like what the meta builds are in PvE/PvP or what addons are essential or an easy lore question or how do guild traders work. For some reason, asking trolls how they make gold or whether they like PvE/PvP more can distract them. At the end of the day, they just want attention and to expeess themselves, and it's often 1 or 2 people "trolling" other people into responding to them. So neutralizing the 1 troll or drowning them out helps. Don't argue with them.
Reporting is easy and it works. I always quote the exact harassment exactly as they said it. People do sometimes get temporary or permanent bans. Sorry you had to go through all that
Wow. I actually cannot believe the comments on here. The people she encountered were using HATE SPEECH. That is completely different than just “saying something mean”. Yes, this is absolutely something to be upset about and yes, cry about if you need to. From what OP said, that was definitely a gendered attack. Admitting that you were upset by this doesn’t make you weak, and I honestly cannot believe people would come on here to imply that you are.
As to what ZOS should do, they should actually punish people who get reported for something like this.
during the event I could increase my stock of vile from 100 to 350, farming and buying cheap.
As vampiric furniture does not sell that good, this will be enough for half a year or more.
I still miss purple solitude and vampiric motifs, but I do not need them so urgently, so I will focus on different tasks. I have more than 10 sorcerers, and since crystal blast was removed, I lost a lot of fun playing them. So I focus on crafting writs instead, Rimmen is much better than Solitude to do them. With a daily now and then to fill up shimmering sand.
Skyrim looks nice, but it is not very rewarding, and the difficulty especially after the latest nerfs keeps me away from there.
Another issue are the constant crashes on xbox leaving/entering solitude. Craft clothes, leave the crafting room - crash.
Leave the maingate to reach the stablemaster - crash. This occurs in 30-50%. This is too bugged to play except on events.
I posted in another post about this issue.
One day after the event, the current expac is dead.
I am seriously doubting the player count being healthy at all. World of Warcraft has AI/bots that mimicks PVPers and how they play. PVE is much easier to create AI/bots for. I have to strongly consider that the game is not as heathy as we are led to believe.
The zone is boring and not worth sticking around in and has several issues like...
1. It has a terrible crafting area plagued with load screens.
2. Harrowstorms don't drop loot good enough to be worth doing.
3. The zone is empty and lacking good grinding spots.
4. The city of Solitude acting as a separate instance so you can't log out instantly inside, but you can near the battlegrounds guy. As you can guess this is very annoying for alting.
